I just started with the Point Lookout DLC for the first time and ran into Desmond. I didn't catch it right away but then I realized... He's voiced by Jeff Baker, the same guy who voiced the Dunmer in Morrowind! :blink:

This is probably common knowledge around here, but I had no idea! Apparently he did a few voices in the main FO3 game as well (Gary? Really? :mellow: ) but the raspy voice of Desmond the ghoul was at some points exactly like the voice of the Morrowind Dunmer. I was not expecting that at all.

I've never played Morrowind so I didn't know, but Desmond is one of my favorite characters in all of FO3. He's awesome. And a lot of that, of course, has to do with his acting/voice.

And it's not too surprising they'd use a Morrowind actor for a part. Wes Johnson (Lucien LaChance) voices a few characters as well. But, I'm sure you knew that.

I saw this Jeff Baker http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jG8OjKiGAvE on the Skyrim forum recently. Until I saw it I never made the connection. :facepalm: Desmond is badass incarnate. I really hope we see him again.

Don't let those pretty stars fool you, povuholo is human just like the rest of us (at least I think so).

I have played Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 and didn't put it together immediately either, but then I don't spend too much time to who voices which character, unless it's blatantly obvious...like hearing Captain Picard's voice, or who can mistake Liam Neeson's voice.

The only game character I've heard of named Desmond was from a game called Knights of Xentar.

When he swears at me, all I hear is "Scum!"


Of course, when I play Morrowind now, I half expect Dunmer trainers to say "Training, you ignorant [censored]!"

Yeah he kinda reminded me of St. Jiub too.

Thats why Desmond is one of my favorite characters his voice brings back good times.
