FO3's level system was designed and balanced for twenty levels. The game world is huge but there's no reason you need to do everything with one character, it has excellent replayability.

As many people were unhappy this Bethesda did released a DLC that raised the cap to 30 and continued the main quest called Broken Steel. However since they weren't able to re-balance the system and gameplay leveling past 30 (even with the tougher monsters) is rather unbalanced and even a low INT character can max out all of most of their skills without trying, and obviously that removes a lot of what makes characters unique. However the main quest extension is quite nice.

I'm not terribly familiar with the PS marketplace but I believe Broken Steel can be purchased individually. The GOTY edition also comes bundled with all of the DLC together.

User-made mods are PC exclusive, neither MS nor Sony allows them, so I've moved your thread out of the mod forum and in to FO3 General.

Someone made a mod that lets you go to level 99.

It is somewhere on Nexus.

Except he's playing on the PS3, mods won't work on that. You can get the Broken Steel expansion though which lets you go to level 30. It also lets you keep playing after you finish the main quest.

You have to buy it, I believe its liek 10 bucks, you might be better off just buying GOTY on the PS store as technically its saves money. (because the expansions cost less when total price is divided by number of expansions but you will actually be spending more moeny)

That's the best thing ever! I would travel around that huge world. Going to all location, Killing creatures and still geting EXP making my charecter beter and beter. :) Unfortunetly is only for PC :( What a crap!

It would be incredibly boring IMO. Your character would be so powerful with all those extra hitpoints and perks that there wouldn't be any enemy that was the least bit challenging.

Shoot, this game is so easy I'm pretty sure you could take down a Deathclaw with a BB Gun anyway, especially a Level 30. Or just get Dogmeat AFTER loading Broken Steel, get Level 30, and he can kill like 10 Deathclaws at once with his 15,000 HP ;-)
