Question about the guards. : IV

This has bothered me for so long. Why are they so obsessed with trying to get you for a 1 gold bounty ? Morrowind i liked because the guards didn't even try to pinch you for a gold bounty. I know in morrowind it was AI.

For me, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5977 fixes most of the issues I had with them. Might not work for you, but it fixed my game. If I see any other Guard Mods I'll post.

You don′t even need I gold on your head. If you simply touch (not take) a worthless item you get zero bounty but a crime is still reported and they will nag about it :biggrin:

Ops, almost forgot the disclaimer: I have no intention whatsoever to upset anyone, German or otherwise, by predicting what may be on the horizon :unsure2:

Anyway I guess it′s a fine line, but I seriously think that simply grabbing stuff that belongs to someone else would not count as theft since you don′t put it in your inventory and walk away with it :facepalm:

I mean, sure, when you commit the crime, the guards are rushing over to you to stop it, and if you resist, they will attack you. But I've noticed if you leave town with a bounty, if it is a small bounty, they won't really go after you unless you talk to them. I've noticed that they only come after on sight if you have a bounty of like 500 gold or something like that.

I think a low personality/fame increases their likelihood of murdering you for knocking over a bottle of cheap wine.

have a certain amount of fame and the guards like you, they'll pardon your actions. I've heard them say something like "you are freed of all your debts to society" or something.

Boom, Bounty is gone just like that on the spot.
