Get these mods off my hands!

im having trouble Getting rid of my mods. people tell me that i should just delete the esp and be done with it but my data folder is starting to become a mess and id just like to start over while i dont have alot of mods yet. i tried uninstalling Oblivion and deleting the entire oblivion folder completely thinking that i could just reinstall and start fresh but when i did, the game kept crashing which doesn't make any sense to me at all. i tried only deleting my data folder but i kept crashing anyway so here i am. im not really technical about oblivion or its mods at all so im probably not realizing something completely obvious so please spare me if thats true =)

Did you also delete the "My documents" folder also?

You might just need to Delete the INI in the "My documents folder and let the Game generate a new one...See if that helps first

Well ... here's a mod remover for future reference http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7557. Works great for me so far. As to your current problem, can't help you much there. I'm not technically savvy with this stuff. However I do know if you have stuff left over that you didn't remove after a fresh install then your game will crash. Best guess is you didn't do a clean uninstall.

Complicated? It's just a matter of copy-pasting the files that are associated with a mod into the folder that comes with the program and than run the program. This program is a life saver for quickly testing and removing mods. :)

You might try using Oblivion Mod Manager - it's great for loading mods, and deactivating them or deleting them. You'll be awful glad you tried it and if you want to and need help just post back here.
