Frostcrag Spire (Bug?)

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 4:47 am

I have oblivion with all official mods and updates installed on my windows 7. Before I update oblivion to 1.2.0416, I installed the Frostcrag Spire, I went to the tower and I was checking the features. I created a storm atronach and I just left it there (I did not dismiss it). When I returned back, it was not there, and I can't create another atronach, since only one is available. I guess it has something to do with some bug which makes enchanted items/spells disappear after oblivion restart. The bug is now fixed, but I can't create atronachs. Any idea what should I do?

I would suggest installing the http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9969, as well as the other unofficial patches.

I did that. Could you please suggest me a few more unofficial patches? I am confused, there's just too many of them and I don't know which one is good and which one is useless.
I really appreciate it.

From what I understand, the Storm Atronarch is still there, just lost.

Try opening the console and typing these two lines

prid xx000D27
moveto player

Replace the XX with the load order number of Frostcrag Spire plugin. Wrye Bash can tell you what that number is.

As for the UOMP and UOP and USIP. You should install one for every DLC you have. The installer should walk you through it.

from what I understand, Wyre Bash is a really complicated 'thing' (I can't figure out what it is completely). Is there any other way to figure out XX ?

Yeah, count up to the mod in hex. 0 -> 9, a -> f, start over...You can use a http://www.parkenet.com/apl/HexDecConverter.html converter to do it for you too. ;) Remember to only count active plugins.
