Would like someone to check my mod list for errors - having

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 6:45 am

So, I've set up my latest Morrowind mod setup and am starting my playthrough and seem to be having a few problems. I'm using the Morrowind Overhaul: Sound and Graphics as my base with the 1.1 patch (yes, I fixed the MGE_NO error so it works) and added onto that. Anyway, I'm getting several missing mesh errors, most of them in character creation regarding heads (one actually crashes the game). Here is the list of errors that I'm getting, I'd like to know which mods are the culprits so I could fix them:

Other big mods I'm running include Morrowind Comes Alive, all the LGNPC mods, Necessities of Morrowind and BTB's Game Improvements. Something I've noticed is LGNPC Seyda Neen does not seem to be taking effect, I'm not noticing anything unique about the dialogue of NPC's in Seyda Neen.

Here is my mod list.

Are there any other problems with my load order I should be aware of? Also, Can someone direct me to a mod that regenerates your health after combat (Like Oblivion does - at least I seem to remember it doing that, its been a while since I played lol) - does such a mod exist? Thanks!

Th only warnings you have that are problematic are these ones:
Model Load Error: Meshes\TR\b\TR_Argonian_M_H04_Nal.nif..... etc.

And they are from Tamriel Rebuilt. Did you register the TR BSA properly?

Use http://code.google.com/p/mlox/wiki/Mlox on your Load Order, to find problems/suggestions.

it looks like you installed some nifs into the wrong directory. If they are from the same package, then you can just reinstall it. But if you don't know where they are from then you should search (I recommend the "Everything Search" program) for the nifs individually. If you can find them then paste them into the correct directory.
For example: "Model Load Error: Meshes\TR\b\TR_Argonian_M_H04_Nal.nif cannot load file in Meshes\TR\b\TR_Argonian_M_H04_Nal.nif."

Search for "TR_Argonian_M_H04_Nal.nif" and if you can find it, copy that to the folder "Meshes\TR\b\" and repeat. Although that looks like a Tamriel Rebuilt mesh, so you could reinstall that. Unless TR uses a BSA file, I don't remember. The BSA reg doesn't always work so you might have to add that to your morrowind.ini file.

And for regenerating health after combat, you can just rest outdoors without a bed if there are no enemies around.

EDIT: ninja'd

BC_shoes_common_1 - I used to get those with better clothes mod. It was fine for quite a while then all of a sudden attempts to load a game would give a CTD with those messages in a log. Had to turn off that mod to be able to continue the game. I think after a while I was able to turn it back on, but I can't remember for sure.

No. The BC warnings are completely harmless.

Yes, I do use Mlox to sort my load order. I just made sure my load order was up to date. And yes, it looks like BSAReg did not add TR_Data.bsa to my morrowind.ini. Where would I add it, under [archives]?

As far as incorrectly installing files, I made sure to follow direction for all mods installed. If there was a data files folder then I copied all the folders into the data files folder in my data files directory, so if something is installed in the wrong directory it would more likely be the fault of the original mod author (or the Morrowind Overhaul) than myself.

I did follow the direction for the Morrowind Overhaul installation thoroughly and that stuff all seems to work fine except for thos missing BC_shoes_common errors, which I also attributed to being from BC.

Yes, it would like this:
[Archives]
Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa
Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa
Archive 2=TR_Data.bsa

And maybe you missed my post above, but your BC warnings are harmless and can be ignored.

Okay, I'll try that and see if it works. Also, yeah, you posted that as I was typing my response. I didn't miss it I just didn't read it before I posted :). Any other conflicts in my load order I should be aware of?

Note that BTB's game improvements requires an addon to the original better cloths mod.

Yes, I'm using it, though its not exactly an addon rather than a replacement file for the .esp.

Incidentally - a related question: why does Morrowind.bsa not need to be registered under [Archives]? I saw in one reademe where it was.

Okay, I reigstered the TR_Data.bsa file under archives and errors disappeared! Thanks! Also noticed that Flora_Glow.bsa which is included with the overhaul was not registered so I wonder of BSAreg didn't register that either.

Many users of Windows 7 encounter problems with BSAReg which doesn't record the .bsa.
It's a problem known.

That can be due to the fact that you installed Morrowind in Program Files.

If not the only solution and to manually record the .BSA in the Morrowind.ini file.

If it's not listed in the .ini then it's not registered. Add it after the TR_Data.bsa with the next number. BSAreg is notorious for not working at times. :)
