Dogmeat look at me!

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 7:40 am

Greetings!

As allways when i start to play a Bethesda game i end up modding shortly after. So im working on a little Dogmeathingy for myself to fix and maybe extend some things.
Anyhow, one of the biggest things that bothered me sofar is the fact that Dogmeat isnt looking at me during conversations.

Some time ago i did find a mod that changed that, but for the sake of my soul i couldnt find it anymore. Even further im not sure if it would be compatible with the Mod im using that changes Dogmeat into a GSD : http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8290

So yeah, how do i change it that my digital Dog looks at me when i talk to him? :P

And before i forget, anyone know if this mod is compatible with the Dogmeat Leather Armor Mod or if its possilble to make it compatible just using the GECK ?

Thanks in advance!

Dont know about making dogmeat face you.

But you can do anything you want in the Geck. I combined 'some' aspects of several Dogmeat mods into my own prefered Dogmeat mod. So yeah, its possible.
I made dogmeat a german sheppard and gave him the leather armor. And made his 'panting' a LOT quieter.

WillieSea : I assume its done the same way like with "normal" NPCs. But thats the part i never touched in my Mods sofar <_< And atm i just want to play the game and dont mess around with the Editor for hours and hours ;) I just wanna slap a small patch together for this current problem.

So if anyone can tell me how to get a NPC to face you during conversation or when you walk past them - like the ingame NPCs do all the time, look at you etc. - id greatly apreciate that.
Or if someone knows if a mod or fix for this is available, that would help too!

Thanks in advance!

I'm not 100pct sure but it sounds like what your after might be headtracking in the bodypart data in the geck. Under Body Part Data you'll find dogmeat has his own, if you enable headtracking which you'll find by doubleclicking on the head part of the data this may be what you wanted.
