Your characters relationships...

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 10:46 am

Hello all :)

I wanted to start a topic to get people talking and I havent seen.anything like this mentioned, so here I am :)

So who are your characters best friends?
Worst enemies?
Family members?
Spouses?
What are you characters opinions on these people?

My character, Lissa, has an unfortunate social life, since shes been.travelling the world.
Her mother is Olette of Kvatch, who moved to Kvatch from Anvil when her husband died. Her other daughter, Maelone, married so she wanted a fresh start to.
Lissa immediatly risks death when she discovers the state Kvatch is in, as her mother is her 'guardian angel'

What about you?

Worst enemies? Whatever is in the way.
Family members? His father was a proud warrior and military strategist who taught him the ways of war. His mother was a caring but not terribly brilliant woman.
Spouses? ARE YOU KIDDING
What are you characters opinions on these people? I think the above sums it up.

Derelas is a Bosmer ranger who emigrated (for all intents and purposes) to Cyrodiil after the mysterious disappearance of his parents several months ago. He lived most of his life in relative peace in Valenwood, where he hails from the settlement of Elder Root. All he knows about their disappearance is that they were tasked to explore an ancient Ayleid ruin in their line of work for the Guild of Archaeology, and they never returned home.

He specializes in combat with short blades and bows, favoring both equally. He is also learned in the ways of Illusion and Alchemy, and possesses rudimentary skill in Restoration and Alteration, but magic has never been one of his strong suits. He uses Illusion to calm and command dangerous beasts, persuade the populace, and light his way, but his usage is still quite passive compared to others. He will never have enough magical power to render himself invisible, for instance. His skills in magic are basic at best, and nothing much will change that.

Nevertheless, he has come to Cyrodiil to hopefully attend the Arcane University where he can learn more about the Ayleids and find some clues as to what happened to his parents. However, if you've been keeping up with his tale, he is experiencing a few complications at this point, and he may be forced to abandon his original plan if things get any worse.

He is now building a mutual friendship with a mysterious Dunmer known as Faith. I do not wish to say more here, because it is all recorded right down there. VVV

Buffy's mother was a Bravilian Bosmer named Terry Ann who died when Buffy was twelve. Her father was a Breton named Superior who disappeared on a vampire hunting expedition before Buffy can even remember. As an orphan, many folks in Bravil fill an important family role.

-Daenlin is her godfather and archery master.
-Kud-Ei and Nilawen fill 'mother' roles.
-Ardaline is of similar age and like a sister.

She has very close friends beyond Bravil as well:

-Boderi Farano was her mentor, advisor and primary instructor at the Arcane University. The battlemage taught Buffy to become a mystic archer.
-Mazoga is Buffy's fellow knight. The beautiful orc shares Buffy's views on friendship, keeping promises and vengeance.
-Savlian Matius makes her toes curl and she thinks maybe she is smitten by him. He's kinda busy with his city on fire and Daedra running loose and all though.
-Superian is Buffy's precious black horse and constant traveling companion. The mare was named by combining the names of Buffy's parents (Superior + Terry Ann = Superian).
-Acadian is an ethereal old paladin (Order of the Ice Dragon) who perished centuries ago along with his dragon, Phantom. Because he no longer has physical form, he shares the frail wood elf's body, and their spirits are comingled.

Soren's parents and his whole family were killed in an execution by the Imperial Legion after many dealings into illegal business, all of his father's side being assassins. So at the age of 26, his training and guidance of the family fortunes were Midas(yes from Midas Magic and Zoe's father) and Sydney, Zoe's guardian angel.

- Midas fills in the father role and spells grandmaster.
- Sydney is like the older sister.
- All of the Dark Brotherhood is brother and sister.
- Zoe Midas, Midas' daughter, is romantically involved with Soren.

Soren's friends are all in the Dark Brotherhood.
- Lucien is Soren's mentor in assassinations to hone the skills taught by Soren's late father.
- Ocheeva is more like an equal as their skills are evenly matched.
- Hanul is Soren's horse(It's a rough English version of the same Korean word which means heaven).

As for Soren's enemies...
- Phillida, hunted down Soren's parents and ordered the attack on Soren's boat.
- The Imperial Legion in general.
- Morag Tong
- And the Count of Bravil since about 5% of Soren's net fortune was taken from him(5% was a lot of money, about 40,000 Septims)by the Count after a swindling. Wants to kill him.

Rosalind loves everyone in her hometown of Anvil like family. She may not respect all of them or like them, but she is loyal to them till the bitter end. This goes double for Thurindil, who is her brother. In the Mages Guild hall, Carahil is like a big sister, but the other three guys seem desperate and lonely and they kind of creep her out. When she was younger, she had a crush on Timothee LaRouche.

She also frequently finds herself in Bravil. She doesn't really like the city itself (something about it just looks depressing. And it doesn't help that the Count doesn't seem to care.) but she likes the individual people there just fine. Especially Kud-Ei, whom she considers one of the best Mages Guild heads around- being authoritative, yet approachable. Especially Gilgondorin, who shares her interest in ghosts. Especially Ardaline, whom she likes. Like-likes.

She enjoys going to Leyawiin, chiefly to hang out with Agata. Agata is a lot of fun when she's had some wine.

She doesn't get along with her horse, Virtue (so named because the ghosts at Priory of the Nine kept telling her to go with it) but they usually try to cooperate. Rosalind is more into doing things leisurely; Virtue just wants to go, go go.

Lothran′s parents is back home in Morrowind, troubled about their son′s decision about going to Cyrodiil.

He has some friends here and there. Mainly Ongar and Olav in Bruma, and of course S′rathad, Methredel and Dynari Amnis in Imperial City.
He also has a new friend in Buffy, the nicest little wood elf he has ever met :)

Helena is still new to Cyrodiil, so her friends are thin on the ground. However, from her past, she has Amusei (yes, that Amusei), Tsiya (a Khajiit girl) and the as-yet unnamed Dunmer boy. After her parents died, she lived with the three of them. She's still not sure how they managed to eat, or survive in general. But then, she's a very innocent girl.
I won't give away too much so as not to spoil the upcoming chapters of her journal, should anyone be reading it (well, should anyone START reading it once I pick it back up).
In Cyrodiil? She's good friends with Teekeus and Carahil.

Well, my character is friends with all his Brothers and Sisters in the Dark Brotherhood, but has no real friends outside that. However he hates, and I mean absolutely abhors, like completely loathes Toutius sixtius. :flame:

And he has a dislike for beggars too. ^_^

Edit: Oh yeah, and he has a crush on that book-keeper chick in Chorrol, but hasn't worked up the nerve to talk to her yet.

Aradroth. 16th level Bosmer assassin.

So who are your characters best friends?
Aradroth has trouble befriending people. Living at Bravil he has become quite close with Buffy & Teresa, but they are still quite wary around him. Perhaps they think that he might 'snap' at any minute.
Nilawen treats him like a loving son, but Aradroth is busy pushing her away.
His main love will always be the DB. Only they understand him.

Worst enemies?
The Imperial guard & the Leyawiin nobility.

Family members?
Aradroth has a sister that he has not seen in years. She lives somewhere in Cyrodiil.

Spouses?
No chance of that!!

I have too many characters to list them all. Here is for http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/subrosa_florens/oblivion/Oblivion491.jpg, who is nearest and dearest to my heart.

Teresa's best friend growing up was Methredhel. They met as children, Teresa saving Methie and Adanrel from a shopkeeper who was chasing them (They still are not sure which of the Verus brothers it was). Meth returned the favor by framing a madman who was trying to kill Teresa, and sending him to prison (Valen Dreth).

Now that she is all grown up and has struck out in the world, Teresa has made many friends. However those she finds herself closest too include her mentor Morcant, a Witch who taught Teresa to put her love of the wilderness into words. Then there is Ancondil of course, a fellow member of the Bravil Fighters Guild, who is like a brother to her. Of course there is Aradaline, who is like a sister, and Aia who is sort of like an aunt. Then there is Volsinius, whom she has a strange relationship with. A legionary who knocked out one of her teeth as a child, he also saved her life ten years later, and made Teresa completely change her opinion of the law by doing so.

I forgot family members. Teresa was orphaned at birth, so she never knew her parents. But Mara smiled upon her, and led Simplicia the Slow to the alley in which she was left. The beggar raised her as her own, and has always been the most important person in Teresa's life.

Worst enemies? Teresa does not have too many. Valen Dreth would be a good start. But thankfully he was eventually taken care of for good. Then there is Adanrel, who had been a friend since childhood. Yet Adanrel could not handle Teresa's rise from the gutter, and friendship with a legionary, and turned on her.

No spouses for Teresa. Lovers are another story however. There is Nerussa, who taught Teresa everything she knows about six (and it is quite a bit!). Then there is the mysterious Tadrose Helas. *sigh* Teresa wishes they were lovers, but has yet to work up the nerve to find out just how much the Dunmer armorer likes her in return.

Goodness! How could we forget about Buffy's wonderful friends who are not NPC's but characters of other players?!?

Dear Lothran is a wonderfully kind dark elf whose heart is so much warmer than his cold city of Bruma.

Buffy, like Nilawen has become convinced there is indeed a heart that beats inside Aradroth. Had Buffy not stayed her bow at the Inn of Ill Omen, she might have been his dark sister. He does indeed frighten her some though. It's those cold, gray eyes.

Poor Sarrah died before Buffy could ever meet her, but Buffy has grown to love her by listening to the tales of Sarrah's younger sister Angel. Angel is an adorable little mage who lives in Anvil and is the only person in Cyrodiil that makes Buffy feel like a big sister instead of a little twig, lol. Angel's recipe for appleberry juice is to die for!

Buffy doesn't know Teresa very well, but she does know that Teresa saved a wounded bear and is kind to the dear Bravilian begger Aia. That speaks volumes - all of it good!

Maxical is a dear kitty and wonderful friend. Things can get rather giddy when she gets together with Buffy.

Daerelas' relationship with Faith at this point is rather strained by the fact that he is having to deal with both a mysterious Ancient vampire keeping tabs on him and the Dark Brotherhood recently coming knocking on his door. During their adventure through a Fangorn-esque woodland known as the Ancient Yews, they came to grips with each other, and eventually came to a mutual understanding.

During their trek through the Yews, Derelas met the slightly mad but quite wise druid Sybilla Draconis (yes, she) who helped him to forge the bond between him and his equine spirit guide. Our guide keeps a close watch upon our hero, and who knows how many chance events might have been influenced by him?

It is still too early into the tale to reveal much about the characters, these are simply the developments and interactions that have occurred so far. The only thing further I am willing to divulge is that every character you've met so far has a part to play in the coming darkness, as we reveal a sinister plot occurring alongside the infamous Oblivion Crisis. Every character has a stake in it (including a few who I have yet to introduce) and things are going to get REALLY ugly before they get better.

Oh, and he also had a brief run-in with Julian of Anvil at her lowest point, but neither of them recognized each other and they will most likely never see each other again.
