Reflect protected creatues take my health down by a quarter?

I remember seeing a topic a long time ago about reflect "reverb" (something like that), but I never payed attention to it back then. Now I've been having the problem for a while, and now descided to ask if anyone knows a solution.
The problem is, I'm not sure if its a reflect spell, or reflect dmg, but most of the creature from the oblivion gates have it, and some lichs and wraiths (I think). I have a sword I created with the spell alter (using a Blackluster model), only weapon I use most of the time, and whenever I come up against one of the above mentioned type of creatures, (I should mention that at lvl 20 my character was strong enough coupled with this sword to mostly one swing most any of the lower lvl people or creatures of the game) I can nearly kill them with one or two power swings, but monitoring my health, it goes down in 1/5s or 1/4s, which is probably about equal to the amount damage my swing does, but i'm pretty sure these creatures don't have a 100% reflect. My character does have about 90 protect, 65 spell and dmg reflect, 15 spell absortion. What I think is happeneing is some kind of reflect "reverb" that starts with my swing to them, reflectes to me, reflects back (building dmg), then back at me again. Unless i'm wrong, i don't think its supposed to be that way.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

P.S. I forgot to mention my character is a vampire/high elf, and the sword uses;
Fire 5 for 1 sec
Shock 5 for 1 sec
Dmg Fatigue 25% for 4 sec
Drain fatigue 100% for 1 sec
Weakness to Magic 100% for 2 sec
Silence for 1 sec
Soaltrap for 2 sec

Which makes it funny, now that I think of it because, I never get effected by the spell effects, so the spell effects arn't reflected back at me, but if my sword ever runs out of charges and I'm facing one of the creatures, that "reflect" thing dosn't happen, but my dmg does go way down.

I have not heard of this issue, but you can cut down a few plugins. Update to the latest version of the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3409 mod. Grab the latest version of OBSE to use it. Also, you can remove the Fran day length change thing by using the equivalent bash tweak (Globals>Timescale). Right-click on the tweak to choose the rescale you want, which I assume would be "12."

Thanks for the keychain mod, I hadn't noticed it was updated. For the frans day length, I thought it was required to be in the load order for FCOM? But will do some testing and bash around.

Not at all. I have not seen the Fran day length or respawn plugins indicated anywhere in any FCOM docs. People just use them anyway...

Replacing the keychain mod and frans daylength does help my load order, but does not help with my original problem. Any other thoughts on that? Its a really annoying thing. Hard to get through closing gates this way. Thanks again for the input.

Move the clothing mod up where the rest of the clothes are, and try disabling mighty magic. I have not heard of this issue, but I would try disabling magic mods first

They were at the time the only way to change the length of the game day - but these days it's an option in the bashed patch, so they've been rendered redundant.

I am seeing them in new users setups. I was definitely playing Oblivion before Wrye Bash was big, but I am going to recommend every user with Wrye Bash to use the tweak instead. I do that for other outdated mods too. I'm anol, who cares...

Sounds normal to me. If you face a Lich (which has Reflect Spell 25) there's 25% chance that the damage from the enchantment of the sword will be reflected - and then all damage will be reflected. Your char's AR, Spell Absorption etc. won't help. Atronachs have Reflect Damage, so from your description it seems you're facing both Reflect Spell (from Lichs) and Reflect Damage (from Atronachs).

Also, note that Reflect Spell/Damage gets nastier on higher difficulty, i.e. on max difficulty you will receive 6x damage.

Anyway, from the description provided it sounds normal to me.

I will try disabling the magic mods, and see how that goes, but if i recall correctly, I just recently added MM and the visual enchanting to the load, a long while after I started having this problem. I think it started somewhere around the time I upgraded to deadly reflex 5 and added the enchanting enhancer, but to be honest that was a year ago or so, so my memory on the events leading up to this problem maybe a little fuzzy.

You know that dose sound like whats happening... I do have it on hardest difficulty, and I think I started getting the problem after i changed the difficulty cause i wanted more challenge... (But jeeze really ?). If this is the case and thats normal, do you know of any mods that change that? I don't wanna take the difficulty down cause i like the challange but i also think that this reflect like that is rediculas. Especially since it only seems to get worse the stronger i get, which I guess i feels should be a bit reversed?
