MMM & FCOM

Post » Mon May 16, 2011 11:43 pm

I am installing my mod list now. Looking at MMM there is an .esp for Fran's and an .esp for OOO. I'm scanning through the Readme and not seeing which to pick for a FCOM installation that uses both. Any help would be appreciated.

http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/walkthroughs/fcomguide You should only use the main MMM ESM. Do not use any of MMM's main ESPs. Every FCOM guide I have read mentions something to that end explicitly.

I see. I don't know why I didn't think of FCOM's guide. I've been scrolling up and down my MMM readme, lol

FCOM's actual ReadMe is the main page of FCOM Convergence, linked on the guide I linked in my last post. Use FCOM installation guides and ReadMes for installing FCOM. Use the ReadMes for MMM and OOO when you are configuring your install to check OPTIONS. FCOM has specific requirements for which main modules you have to use for the various core components.

It looks like there are many more MMM plugins than referenced here ( http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/fcomloadorderexpanded.html ). Should I not install any mod not mentioned there?

If there's an http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1085113-relz-fcom-convergence-and-ufcom-relz/ for a mod the general idea is to thoroughly read the readme and then post questions in that thread if your having issues.
Starting independent threads leads to well intentioned, but often misleading and confusing information.
If you want clear instructions with any mod the official thread is the place to ask.
It's where modders and those familiar with that particular mod tend to hang out and your question will normally be answered in one post.

Fair enough. I'll read that thread and if it doesn't answer my question I'll post. My apologies.
