Wrye Bash is not really that complicated to install, and the links and instructions for setting it up are on that page I linked in my last post. Is your game working now? It would be much easier to reinstall and uninstall if you used a mod management utility. :)

lol i decided to go ahead and learn up about OBMM and Omods and the like, and i think i understand it, other than the KOTN boots, cuirass and gloves not doing enchantments (odd i don't remember if they did, but helmet does), it's running fine, i just need to re-install midas magic cause i think i accidently deleted texutes and meshes :P

Good to hear. Keep us posted if you have any difficulty. OBMM is probably on the computer of a significant portion of the mod-using communities computers. You will not have trouble receiving answers on that topic.

What Bethesda Softworks archive are you talking about? Archives do not just appear...and are you talking about a folder or an archive? I presume you are still doing manual installation because otherwise I do not know how you lose the MM data files.

Edit: Oh, the extension...I cannot stand the Windows hide extensions by default behavior, so irksome sometimes...

Yes, those are the archive files that contain the original meshes, textures, etc.

Some mods may also have them.

They were always there, they just acquired a name now because OBMM is associated with them, so now Windows knows what they are and what to open them with.

Here is a bashed patch guide for future reference: http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/finishinstall/bashedpatch. It sound like you are good to go. If you do not want to double post, use the edit button in the bottom-right corner of your posts.

Most mods' data files are not packed in BSAs. On the topic of BSAs, turn on BSA redirection in OBMM's archive invalidation options (utilities>archive invalidation.) If you want to know what archive invalidation is all about...http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/installmods/archiveinvalidation. The short, ignorant explanation of why you should care is that it is necessary when you use mods that contain data files that overlap with the original files packed up in those BSA files. A lot of mods fall under that category, including the UOP (because it fixes data files too.)

It depends on the options you installed because you could have chosen to have the items added to loot lists, so you would need to go track down baddies or find select chests to acquire the new items. Doesn't the ReadMe explain this?

Edit: I do not know if this helps, but here is an excerpt from the mods description at TESNexus
Plugins Explained:

Armamentarium.esm - core file of Armamentarium Complete. Don't try to run any other plugins of Armamentarium without this one - the game will crash before it loads. This file stores properties of all items. Weapons and armors are balanced to match those from Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul mod. Vanilla users will find armors more costly and weapons more potent.

ArmamentariumArtifacts.esp - this file deals with quest and special items, and artifacts. All information about all these items you can obtain/buy from the new smith, Mercator Saccus, and his Chest of Requests in The Fightning Chance shop in the Merchant District of The Imperial City.

ArmamentariumLL.esp and LLMagic.esp - leveled lists for vanilla Oblivion. Add Normal and Enchanted Weapons and Armor If not using a Overhaul use this

ArmamentariumLL4OOO.esp and LLMagicOOO.esp - leveled lists for Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul mod. Includes OMOBS Rebalance for Arma Items and If you have FCOM installed use these file.

ArmamentariumLLVendors.esp - leveled lists for merchants, use this file if you want to have some chance to buy wooden/iron/steel weapons and armors from merchants in game. for Overhauls

ArmamentariumLLArmaVendors.esp - use this file if you want more types up to elven and oricish armor and weapons from vendors in games, not for overhauls..

Artifacts-ArmaCompleteAddon.esp - requires Artifacts mod to be installed itself, adds nearly all weapons and armor from this mod into Armamentarium Leveledlist , considered a addon for ArmaComplete Once again. works with OOO/FCOM plugins listed above has well.

http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/lists/mybainlist <-- I added Better Barrels yesterday, so that list is actually short by one package.

Of course, I have to go on a random teaching tangent, haha...here it goes.

That BAIN package list is my installation order. As you might notice, it deviates from the recommended load order quite a lot. Load order and installation order are related but are hardly references for one another. Do NOT confuse the two. The overarching explanation behind that installation order and other "good" installation orders is here: http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/installmods. Some of the groups can be moved around. I really need to get to commenting that thing...

Edit: I thought I posted http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/lists/myloadorder for reference too. It seems I did...

Edit: http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/downloadmods <-- There are links to various specific mod guides and lists. The mods directly linked on that page are all very nice too.

LOL i thought i screwed up the main quest XD

what happened was instead of getitng the great welkyng stone i player.additem'd it, then martin tells me "i'll wait at the chapel" so i go talk to the countess and she walks there...oh look... stupid emperor didn't show up >.> so i talked to the countess anyways and begun the battle, guess who wasnt at the oblivion gate! so i had to exit turn off maddoggs fantasy mod (as it mods chapel, i thought that may have done something), now he's there, lol

Mods do all kinds of things you may not anticipate. The best way to prepare yourself is to read the ReadMes, but even that will not prepare you for everything. Mods tend to say if they disable or move important NPCs though.

well i'm using OBMM now, but i only use manual install if the file has more than one .esp or the error-like thing shows up saying *esp is in subdirectories, you may need to add a script* or something

You should add a script to have the mod installed instead of doing manual installation. Which mods are these?
