Looking for Vampire Mods

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 5:00 am

Well, I have the chance to become a vampire, and while It might be fun, However, I know there are a few things I don't like about it, for example, the aged face and so on.

So, What mods, which do not break OOO+MMM, for vampires do people recommend?

There's a mod currently in production called Unholy Darkness which a lot of people are waiting on, and which looks promising. If I were you I'd keep an eye on that. There's a thread for it here where you can check out pre-release videos and screenshots and get more info.

Other than that, some good ones are Terran Vampires (beta), The Vampire Experience (beta), Aundae in Cyrodiil, and Nekhanimal's.

You can find all of the above 4 on TES Nexus and there are threads for Terran Vampires and The Vampire Experience here.

I highly recommend Terran Vampires and The Vampire Experience. Terran Vampires is based on Vampire the Masquerade, and offers the chance to choose which clan you join, and a level based system for upgrading a set of vampire disciplines, offering access to a wide array of different powers, such as Mist form, Wolf form, Various means of manipulating shadows, destruction magic powered by blood instead of magika, Viccisitude, Weather manipulation, and more.

The Vampire Experience is very customizable, allowing you to choose how you want vampirism to function. You can set variables such as how much/if you take sun damage, fire damage, whether you are weak to garlic or running water, and more. It also has a set of custom powers such as sprint, phasing through doors, and other things.

There's a vamp mod based on Vampire the Masquerade? That's cool because I've got some new playable hair and coincidentally I could make a character who looks just like Jeanette. If I get around to this, I will post a picture.

You can find it http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6492. Its still a WIP, but its pretty darn good already. The only thing I don't care for is how it rips apart the oblivion lore in order to jam the clans from earth into Tamriel. You can choose from most of the main clans like Tremere, Tzimisce, Ventrue, Malkavian, etc. They've all been renamed but its easy to figure out what's what. Even the Lasombra are in there, and I think they pretty much got left out of the last game entirely.

Jeanette/Therese cracked me up ( I much preferred Jeannette. Therese was just way to camarilla-stuffed up.) Malkavians in general make me laugh, or are downright scary (remember the Malkavian Primogen's Mansion?).

Anyways give it a look. Its the one I use on my main character. Unholy Darkness promises to be more graphically appealing, but I don't think it'll be able to match the sheer variability that Terran Vampires has in disciplines. These guys even managed to find a way of implementing Vicissitude, which impressed me.
