allout 2 wont load. : Fallout Series Discussion

I purchased fallout collection (white label) fallout 2 wont play, it getsthe please wait loading screen then cancels.
I dont know much about computors, so help would be appreciated.

Damn cant edit title.

Have you updated it with the latest patch?

Did you patch the game? The White Label collection isn't patched automatically, but the patch should be somewhere on the DVD.

Dont I need to get the game to work to do that (sorry only experience with patches are the auto updates on xbox) ?

So do I google for the patch or something ?

The patch is a separate executable that should be on the DVD somewhere.

Go to Computer, then find the disc for Fallout in the first section, right click and select "open" then try to find a file with the patch in there.

Ok found the patch.

Now its just confusing, something about copying it to my system...

Its a DAT file, I cant open it, and no idea what it means about copying to my system
