LOD Rock textures messed up

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 12:50 pm

Hi!
I have terrain and texture generation working.. mostly. I've had this problem for sometime but cannot solve it: Object LOD generation messes up rock textures. All other object LOD textures work ok, but rocks and canyon cliffs all have this ugly mixture of hospital, brick building and other semi transparent textures. At close range rock textures work fine. I've checked the rock texture DDSs / TGAs and they look ok. I have not done any modification to any model or texture files. It's like when LOD generation is atlassing all textures, something is broken in geck.

I have following configuration:
- Fallout3 GOTY from steam.
- Fallout3.esm loaded
- Darn UI mod loaded
- Vault44.esp loaded

DLC .esm files are in the data folder but not loaded. I use Fallout Mod manager 0.10.2 to start the game. I had the all textures working some months ago but cannot think what broke them. I have not tried changing my .esp to .esm.

Any ideas? Help appreciated :-)

Random textures means the texture could 'not' be found. The LOD rocks probably use a different set of textures than the up-close rocks.

Yes. They have xxx_lod.tga files. I found one missing rock texture file, fixed it, but after regeneration nothing changed. I will search if I have any more missing textures.

Thanks!
