Ariilie Is breakign the rules

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:13 pm

Has anyone ever noticed the notification on the counter of the bar upstairs in Arrile's Trade House?

Well if you read it it lists the rules that Arrile must follow in order to keep his home open as a trade house, there are only ten of them.

You should read it because at the very end #10 says that he isn't allowed to leave it in the hall room or anywhere that the public can view these rules.

Well that is exactly what he did! :o

I just thought this would be funny for some people to go in game and look at :)

EDIT: lol Sorry about the misspell in the title just noticed.

That's not what it says at all.
The rule is: That he shall cause this License to be openly fixed up in the Hall-Room of his dwelling House, to the end that every one may see what Articles he is bound to observe.
That means that he must leave the rules where everyone can see them, so that everyone knows the rules.

No, he's not a Guard at all. His Class is Rogue.
And there is no ownership on the note, you can take it freely.

I don't think it really matters what his class is...
Because he is wearing Legion gear and Fargoth complains about the Legion picking on him and stealing his stuff.

So, if he is not in that sense a guard [being part of the legion] then he is an impostor! Which is all the better because I always kill him for picking on the wee folk. :toughninja:

He is in the Legion, but that doesn't automatically make him a Guard. He is a Rogue.
The behavior of Guards (ability to arrest, being very aware of crime) is determined by their class, and that class is called Guard.

I'm going by the theory/basis of that he is an imperial legion soldier so he is technically a guard.

Your theory has nothing to do with in-game mechanics. That's why I explained how the Classes actually work.

Well I just went in game (to prove you wrong actually) and found that you were right :glare:

it says:

"10th item, That he shall cause this License to
be openly fixed up in the Hall-room of his dwelling
House, to the end that every one may see what articles
he is bound to observe."

So i guess never mind I was wrong I just think that it would make more sence if it said that he wasn't allowed to do that so that people don't attempt to break one of these rules by talking about criminal activity in his house or something listed in the other 9 rules.
