Just how bored were you....

Me: 22,6 MILLION Intelligence, allowing to do things like http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/492/morrowind20100810133557.jpg.

Has anyone a better record? :D

No cheats or mods, just pure vanilla Alchemy and boredom. Base Magicka used: 125 (100 + 25).

No pics but I made a potion that hasn't worn off even though I went to prison several times and waited a lot. A total of maybe a whole in-game year.

Edit: I'm purely guessing. Only a couple of in-game months could have passed for all I know

Lol, I love how everything just went down the list as "100, 100, 100, 100..." and then "Athletics: 17" XD Very nice potion though o.O... sometimes I feel like those effects happen to me after I take a few hits of skooma. Does that count?

It's Light Armor, not Athletics :) I rarely use it, so that skill is a bit behind...

Wow, with those magicka reserves you could blow up the whole of Tamriel.

Yeah, I could....although the side effect from it is that it doesn't wear off, although it has already passed a month (game time) since I drank the Fortify Intelligence potions. I've also eaten some Ash Yams after that, so it'll last even longer (I've noticed that effects gained from eating alchemic ingredients are more effective and last longer in proportion to your Intelligence), so in the meantime I've even created a little lore about it:

"The great Telvanni Archmagister Brondolf has suffered a little alchemic incident while experimenting on that matter in his tower of Tel Uvirith. That indicent has accidentally given him nearly Godlike intelligence, as well as a virtually unlimited supply of Magicka. Nodoby of the Telvanni Masters (not even him) knows how long it'll last, but considering the enormous Forces he was playing with, they all coincide it could have been worse."

...besides, it just fits perfectly for a char with a base Magicka of 100 ^^

uhm...another curious effect of that insanely high intelligence is that even eating just one ingredient that fortifies something, it fortifies it INSANELY. Just eating one Moon Sugar fortified my speed for more than 200K. I ate 10 of them, and tried walking a bit....and obviously my game crashed :)

I've never went quite that far. But when I played Morgiliel, my Altmer vampire mage, I wanted to kill Dagoth Ur without using the tools and for that I had to deal 1000 damage in one shot. So I made a bunch of custom spells, but in order to cast them I had to fortify my Willpower so I resorted to Alchemy abuse. I ended up with 7 million magicka and afterwards it took me about 3 in-game months for the effects to wear off.

I think you make an Alchemy potion fortifying Intelligence, then you make another one (which becomes better), then another one, and so on until you get super smart.

Yep, basically that. Create a bunch of potions of Fortify Intelligence. Drink them. Create more while the first ones have effect. Drink them. And so on. Each bunch is exponentially more powerful than the previous one.

I recommend using the alchemists in Sadrith Mora, Imperial Cult shrine. Especially the one with the red clothes. He has an infinite, respawning (it respawns every time you close the Barter menu) supply of Ash Yams, Bloat and Netch Leather. That way it's very easy and cheap to create hundreds of Fortify Intelligence potions.

P.D: Ah, and if you ever get tired of being an Einstein (or you've drank any super-potion like the one in my pic), and want to return to normal, just use the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes3Mod:RemoveEffects console command (if you're on PC, of course...if not, you'd have to wait/rest until the effect gets off. A VERY LONG (I remark, a VERY, VERY, VERY LONG) time).

I haven't actually abused alchemy before, thanks for the tips, might try it out on the next playthrough.

Okay that is just beastly... and very time consuming. I've never abused alchemy, but I've seen other cases... (there is a youtube vid of someone who drank a lot of skooma and died because he ran so fast then jumped)

Well, seeing that I would get bored because of having so much power to begin with, I never tried that. Probably never will. Still sounds like fun, but once I would try that, I would be prone to abuse it more often.

And, roleplaywise, a person with that much intelligence would probably not only master metaphysics, but he would also probably commit suicide as a result of what he discovered. :D

Well, at least from my experience, I assure you I don't want to repeat this experience again...well, maybe in a minor scale, in order to create a strong version of my favourite potion (Ripened + Unripened Belladonna Berries = Resist-Restore-Fortify Magicka). Apart from that, it's tiresome...and even scary :(

I use mods to limit and/or make it harder/impossible to get so powerful easily/at all. Morrowind is just more fun balanced. At least for me.

Hell, I used the combo Chameleon Ring+Claymore strike from behind and I basically one/two-shot everything and I considered that abuse.

This is very intriguing.... I believe I will have to try this.

One of my favorite things to do when I'm bored is go into a town and summon as many creatures as possible.
