Mass Effect 3

Great... Drew what's-his-name was the best... The fact that I disliked ME2's story scares me into thinking I won't like ME3's...

Mac Walters can write characters(he wrote Garrus and Wrex in ME1 IIRC), but he svcks at writing plots. They should have brought back Karpyshyn, but he's busy on that MMO unfortunately.

Same as 2 I think. I think they made the first writer work on the star wars mmo.

Aww, I love Drew. Mass Effect 2's writing was really good too though.

Yeah the odds of Walters being head writer for ME3 are high. Drews busy writting for TOR.

I hope they make the game more of an RPG I mean if I kill an enemy I should get Exp but noooo they didn't do that in ME2. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

No. The only real way to level up is to complete the main missions and get your experience with the summary. How else is the game suppossed to feel incredibly streamlined and dull.

He wrote the latest Mass Effect book though, so he clearly isn't THAT busy... <_<

Really ?
The plot in 2 was bad, and the only human character in ME2 was Mordin, the rest were boring. ME1 had Ashley who was human and Garrus was interesting. Ruined him in ME2, waaay too emo, and the suddden human feish.
Also it was weak when trying to justify things, the council dosent belive in reapers. Really.

Shame the good writer is svck with an MMO that will likely fail, and changing writers halfway through was just stupid, such a waste, the other guy should be doing the MMO.

1. Mordin wasn't human

3. Council is just political bs'ing

Having Walters write the Star Wars MMO would be horrible since half the plot would revolve around how dominant HUMENS are.

I meant human as in he felt realistic.

How ? Let me guess its the funny hypocritical thing people usually have against her, she is "racist" agaisnt aliens, yet people hate her for saying she is religious.
How is she a bad character ?

3 It was a cheap move by the writers.

You've been suspiciously absent from the regular COMPNOR meetings, seminars, and rallies. You wouldn't happen to be an alien sympathizer would you?

Tali was bad. Quarians are interesting.
Talis as a character, was not. In ME1 she was a walking quarian codex. ME2 ignoring the codex bit, she was the shy tech geek who developed a crush on Shepard, and that was it... Oh and the "geth are evil for defending themselves" crap she went on about.

That is not completely true, actually. I remember leveling up during a mission a few times. IIRC the minigames earn you experience immediatly.

As for gaining experience by only killing enemies, that just encourages to kill everything in sight. End of Mission/Quest summary allows rewarding experience for not taking the mass-murderer approach (not that this was used in ME2 ). New Vegas for example awards experience for speech and skill challenges too, so the best thing to do is not always to shoot someone in the face.

I remember in ME1 it was a pain because you got like 1/4 the EXP when killing enemies in the Mako. If you wanted to get the most possible EXP you had to weaken them in the Mako, and keep getting out to finish them off.... that was just annoying.

(glad I'm on PC so I can just mod Mako EXP multiplier and inventory size limit)

1. I agree, had some nice dialogue for him.

Garrus was ok in ME2 actually, in ME1 I could have cared less, just wasn't fleshed out enough (Kill Saren, get the job done, turian honor, grrrr), I didn't see Garrus come off as emo though in ME2(different idea in how these terms are defined I guess).

2. Ash was pretty believeable, thats why I liked her as a character. Even if people disagree with her views or whatever her writing was good IMO.

3. Yup, [censored] MMOs.....
