On the Bethesda site under patches it has the Vanilla Morrowind patch which says "DO NOT INSTALL IF TRIBUNAL IS INSTALLED" fair enough. I'm installing GOTY edition so I've got that covered.

Then there are two more patches, a Tribunal Patch and a Bloodmoon Patch. Do I need both? Just the Bloodmoon?(Since it's the latest expansion)

Just the bloodmoon patch.

I never install the unofficial patch. Don't know what all the hubbub is.

The unofficial patch is great, and the Morrowind Code Patch will make your game stabler and fix loads of glitches, you should get them both.

If you have GOTY, then you don't need any Official patches.

The two unofficial patchs fix thousands of bug/glitches... that's what all the "hubbub" is about.

Nope.
If you have Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions, then yes you need the BM patch.
But if you have GOTY, then your game us fully updated.
