As a result of the crushing majority of voters on a poll about wether or not spears should be included in game, I decided that a petition is in order to catch Bethesda Game Softworks' attention.

It wasn't announced yet that spears are or aren't in game but seeing how the amount of skills have been cut from Oblivion, and Oblivion didn't have spears, one can make an educated guess.

Please:This is not a poll open to debate, this is a petition. This is meant to show to BGS how many of us dedicated fans want spears and the like to be in game! Please abstain from posting negative opinions or debating the cons of spears being added in game! AGAIN This is meant to show why we want it and how many of us want it! This is NOT a debate!

Ok, so petitions aren't allowed on the forums.

Does bethesda take petitions from outside sources, unnoficial forums and the like?

And does anyone know where I can make an online petition, mail would be very unpractical.

As much as I like spears, I think petitions are reserved for causes as bringing justice to political prisoners and to provide free healthcare to homeless people...
Don't think Bethesda can be arsed to evaluate petitions, or anything else that would distract them from making a "rather" large and complex project.

But the developers really do lurk these forums and somebody posts a new topic begging for spears and pole-arms every day for the last 5 years or something. (I don't really know, you get the impression...)
I'd say the weather report on spears raining in Skyrim is 70% likely.

While you are not allowed to make a petition (noun) you certainly are allowed to petition (verb)

So while this thread may be locked, you can always start another such as "Why Spears Should be Included etc etc"

BUT I would PM a the moderator who locked you thread and gain permission, just so they know you aren't trying to re-open one that was locked, which is also a no-no

Petitioning never accomplishes anything, especially not in gaming industry. The Game Designers have their reasons for not adding feature X into the game and those who are not part of the Game Designing Process have nothing to say there. The player's wishes are known but that doesn't mean that they will add them. The game designing is far more complex then players like to think it is.

Anyone can find reasons as to why something cannot be accomplished, until that thing is accomplished by someone. The least I can do is try.
