The Isle Of Stirk

Is The Isle Of Stirk a good mod? I am pretty confident it is as I have the Mainland Tamriel Rebuilt for Morrowind and it is EPIC!

I use Stirk, and it is alright...I found some of the waters around it a bit dirty (you'd have to see for yourself, I can't explain)
I have not played around there much, but its an okay place to just hang out, or if you have SSS then a good place to TRY and navigate to...though if you have a normal scaled map (vanilla map size) you can't see the fast travel point on the world map...making it hard to navigate to or swim to.

I believe he is referring to a mod that allows you to sail your own ship.

yes, mcc (my brother goes to a college called MCC) I am refering to a mod that allows you to sail your own ships: Side's Sailing Ships.

I am unsure about the map that comes with Stirk, I did not use it, I was happy with my map.

That sounds intriguing. Did a Search for Side's Sailign SHips on Google, can't find it anywhere.

There are directions in the readme for how to make it so the map is bigger but Icant do t cause my CS doesn't work, it constantly crashes.

I must have an older version of Stirk...because I swear my readme did not inform on how to make the map bigger...

it says...

Spoiler
if you use a mod that replaces the worldmap, Stirk's map will overwrite it.
Outlined below are the steps necesary to prevent this from happening.
NOTE: you WILL NOT be able to see Stirk on a regular worldmap.
1. Extract the files to a temporary location.
2. go to Textures/Menus/Wap/World/ and delete TR_StirkWorldMap.dds. do the same for the Menus50 and Menus80 folders.
3a. Go to your regular Oblivion folder and find Data\Textures\Menus\Wap\World. This directory should contain your custom world map, most likely named cyrodiil_resized.dds. Rightclick it and select 'Copy'. Rightclick somewhere else in this folder and select 'paste', this will bring up a file called 'Copy of cyrodiil_resized.dds'. change its name to TR_StirkWorldMap.dds.
3b. Repeat step 3 for the Menus50 and Menus80 folders.
4. Copy Stirk files to (install folder)\Oblivion\Data\
5. Open up Stirk in the Construction Set, set as Active File.
6. In the menu, go to World > World Space and select Tamriel from the list
7. Change the Usable Dimentions to 2055 and 1830. Change NW X to -59, NW Y to 47, SE X to 59, and SE Y to -58.
8. Save, plug, and play.

unless I misunderstand

well it shouldn't take but maybe 5 minutes...I am not going to put this up on the Nexus, since this - in a sense - is using Stirk without permission, so I am only going to distribute a personal copy of this modification to you.

If you don't mind being able to see Elsweyr too, you can try one of these...
