It's either a bug, or a easter-egg at lynching by developers, fallout-style... or some super mutants got pissed and killed it and hanged it.

Well Actually, ive had a radscorpion die on me then float away and glitch on a tree hanging just like that except in mid air. It was weird. When i searched it I found the key to lucas sims house, radroach meat, fireant nextar and 5.6mm round. 0_o Why does this [censored] happen to me? I mean it was pretty cool, but it seems I cant go 2 days playing fallout without something glitchy or weird happening to me.

I had Paladin Hoss showing up in buildings I was looting. Didn't even say hi, he'd just be running here or there. I don't think he ever killed anything but I finally found him lying on the floor. Apparantly got himself ganked by ghouls. I looted his corpse and he hasn't been a problem since. It was wierd.
