Anyone seen this and know of an explanation?

I still don't know how to do screenshots OR how to post them here even if I did, so I'll try to describe this glitch. I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this one and if anyone knows the story behind it. Some old quest that didn't get included in the game?? A test quest for beta's only??? There must be some explanation.

It's at the Meresti Service Tunnel. And in one of those walkthroughs that connects two different tunnels where you always see the caged in equipment, right in the middle of the walkway, hanging in mid-air, is the head, or actually appears to be a metal head, of a woman, with eyes glowing, and a piece of metal, slightly bigger than the head. If I walk through them, they both hit the floor with the sound of metal, thus once again indicating the head isn't real and is instead from a sculpture or something. I can even pick the head up and carry it around for awhile using the press down of the RS button.

Very curious as to why this is showing up, and very very curious as to what it relates to. Something tells me there must've been an interesting quest or something that didn't make the game involving a "live" sculputered woman (thus explaining the eyes glowing).

Anyone else seen this?? Anyone know of an explanation?

There should actually be a baby carriage with this doll head inside. Trapped baby carriages will produce the sound of a baby whining, and then they blow up unless you have 60 points in explosives and disarm the thing really quickly.

It's possible that you already triggered the explosion, and the head and the other object are now weirdly floating in space; this can happen sometimes.

Oh, yes, I did trigger that trap. I remember thinking "What, how cold can someone be to trap a baby carriage."

Ok, that explains it. Thank you. I guess now that I've picked them up and moved them, the glitch of them hanging in mid-air should be over now???

Hoping so, it sure does look strange.

Thanks again for the explanation.

That's exactly what the glitch is as it happened to me once as well. For some reason the doll's head will hang suspended in mid air after the trap has been sprung.

Yeah I keep getting one where I shoot a raider but the eye balls and spine stay were where they are but the rest of the body explodes.

I had that happen once outside of the the Jefferson Memorial with a Supermutant. Two eyeballs next to each other, plus something that might've been a tongue. Floating at the normal height of a Supermutant's head. The rest of the Supermutant was some meters away and partially gibbed.

It certainly is cold- and crafty. It`s almost impossible not to be caught out by that trap the first time you go near it.

I have also had that bug as well. Just a weird anomally that goes away pretty quick.
