I fear that Brink may not contain enough

Guys pretty much covered the subject so,i don't like talking for other games in non related forums but let me say (conserning the FPS genre) that possibly for BF3 they focus TOO much on superior graphics, more than anything and for me this is the least wanted in an FPS.Firstly most of us don't have (maybe don't want to heve) the high end systems,so we probably won't enjoy it that much.Secondly, same old story,Afganistan/Taliban w/e...of course u may say "hey, look at Homefront, excellent new scenario and the game crap".Sure,it's a combination of things that must be applied in as much balance as it can be.

Firstly game must be release not in a rush, but after carefull management of every aspect of it.Not anolyse it here.

I think we all want (almost demand) an FPS that will keep us interested cause its nice playing it for more reasons that graphics and this is,more than anything i think, cause it is balanced in classes and weapons as it should be from the start and after that will make us know that they are hearing us.

I mean, not overnerfing but they do something after hearing the community and it's many suggestions and take in to account what is best for all,not just for a part of the community.

Anyway,we live in the age where unpolished/unsupported games have become a cult/a trend for some reason. So i lay all my hopes with this one more than anything else for the FPS genre.

I seriously doubt camping will be a problem, considering people can always be flanked thanks to SMART.

lol, what?I bought it too,i am a gamer,i want having games (if i can afford them) :)

If talk serious though, the game industry is something i can't understand...they continuesly release unpolished games,of course it's us to blame if we buy them without seeing pre and reviews, vids in utube and elsewere before we buy them, but i mean, just imagine if everything u buy in your daily life was as unpolished as games like Homefront etc. A revolution would be at hands i am certain. But these are just games, who cares, there are more important things in life yes? No,but just sayin...Better living through mindless escapism. ;)

please stop making threads about your misguided fears and read up on the game first. "not enough action" really ... this game is doing groundbreaking things with movement just so you can be involved in the most intense, fast paced, and controllable action the genre has ever seen.

The game is going to filled to the brim with action. If you're getting in there and completing the objectives, you'll never have a dull moment. My main concern is that there is too much action lol!

Oh, and by the way. With all the carnage going on around you, I doubt you'd really want to glue yourself to an MG.

I feel his concern too. I am just worried that with 8v8 and everyone going off to do their own side missions that there won't be all that many intense gun fights; I know the movement speeds and gameplay will be fast,I am just worried about the action. In MAG (not saying more players is better) there is always someone to shoot when going to the objective and often times there is so much action that you can drop anywhere from 50-150 people depending how good you are or the game mode you are playing but that is cause all the players are pushing towards one or two sole objectives. In BRINK it seems as though players will be trying to do their own side objectives to help move the overall objective along, so with only 8 players on the other team this aspect worries me a bit that it will be more cat and mouse instead of scrambling for your life to live in an intense firefight in order to complete the objective. Do you guys see this as a problem or do you think that there will be plenty of intense gun fights?

I dont think that will be a problem with Brink, having seen the Container City and Free The Prisoner demo's the maps appear to be a good size to make sure your never far away from a vicious firefight!

Also the ''side obejtives'' appear to be more likely to throw you into a gunfight. I mean we've seen the Medics objective be ''revive teammates'' which could obviously put you in harms way, the Engineers will most likely be something like ''build mg nest'' which i'd imagine will be in a heavily used route. Also people will still want to win, so they will still attempt to help with the main objective even if they cant complete it themselves. If anything the objective wheel is probably going to direct you to the action faster!

...wow. It was if the guy just called everyone's children ugly! Never doubt the Brink on the Brink's forum! NEVER!

Look, in the end, some people will think its too slow, some too fast and some just right...find a game that everyone loves!

8v8 is nice and personal, you can actually get a group of only your friends. Plus you're forced to work as a team, fighting a team, to meet objectives... which doesn't work well in huge groups.

If you hate the team thing...then give it a skip.

Also, as they do a kajillion test-plays on the game, I'm sure that they've ensured it's action-packed as I doubt many test players will go: "It's slow, crap and tedious!...I think it's ready!"

At least I hope they don't! But in the end, we just don't know!

So if you have a serious concern that it won't be fun, ignore the pre-order and wait for the reviews. Nothing wrong with being cautious - games aren't cheap.
