Is there any way to get a name to stick for a whole batch of potions? I feel like I am stuck with whatever the first effect is if I don't want to waste tons of time retyping the same name a hundred times.
Thanks!
This is annoying and tricky but it is possible. But complex..
Lets say your alchemy is 50.
Lets say your mixing (unlimited) Red Lichen (RL) and Black Anther (BA) to get a potion of Light.
Lets also say that the potion you can make with these gets your 10 Light points in the potion.
Right, now:
Lets say youve stacked up the ingredient slots with loads of each ingred so that you wont run out (for the purpose of this example).
Default potion name will probably be "Light".
Mkay, so you mash the make potion button and you get a bunch of potions added to your inventory. Great! Unfortunately you wanted to call them all "POTATO".
If you keep mashing the make potion button, eventually your Alchemy skill will increase. Now heres the trick:
So long as your alchemy skill doesnt change, and the type of potion your making doesnt change, then if you rename the LAST potion you make before your alchemy increases, it should rename every similar potion in your inventory with that name.UNfortunately, its impossible to guess when this will happen (unless you pay particular attention to your alchemy skill before starting..)
Therefore, what i do is spam the make button and only rename every 10th bottle. Say im making 50 potions, and i rename every 10th, and unfortunately my alchemy skill goes up on the 49th, it will still leave me with 40 named potions (or 41 if you change the one after the skill increase) and 9 boring ones.
This technique saves me loads of effort as i only have to rename every 10th one. Of course you can change the frequency u do it at. If you only making 5 of a potion for example, then its unlikely that your skill will go up then and so just make 4 and rename the last one (so long as nothing changes between the potions).
Hope that helps! Give it a try!
