Jyggalag in Skyrim?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 8:58 am

So after the events of Shivering Isles Jyggalag is a Daedric prince for good now, right? And if it's been 200 years since that's happened, so he's had time to rebuild his plane of oblivion and get a following of worshippers. So will we be seeing him in Skyrim with his own shrine and quest?

I don't think so. Why? Because that makes an easy basis to build an expansion off of.

It'll be there eventually, just gotta wait for them to design expansion(s).

Thats a pretty nice idea that i completely overlooked. I would imagine it may have a small quest, but not another full blown story-quest type deal. Sheogorath may have just enlisted another hero to help him combat his bipolarism, without the need for the Skyrim PC to become involved. We all know that the PC is the 'beat all odds card' but thats only somthing known to the PC himself/herself. To a Daedric prince the PC is just another mortal with big ideas, drive, and ambition, or maybe a timid, shy, and underachieving wannabe but in the end, i think it's foolish to belive that just because you're the PC would mean that you somehow would have the right to become so heavily involved in Daedric maters apart from artifact quests and the like.

Remember Sheogorath was interesting even if he was poorly voiced, but Jyggalag will be very boring, and probably speak with a boring voice too.

he recruits you because you are the guy that saves cyrodil. the Champion as it were. Not to mention all your shenanagins if you do Knights of the Nine. You beat those quests and you're a billy badass of some stripe. (be it stealth, magic, combat or a wonky combo of all) You are a pretty famous hero who does things that would wipe NPCs (as is illustrated quite well in Oblivion with all your minions being wussy strawmen.). Plus you're conveinent. Makes alot of sense really.

When I say "Jyggalag in Skyrim", I don't mean like a big appearance and a plot-line revolving around him like in Shivering Isles. I mean will he have a shrine with a quest to get an artefact like the other Princes, maybe something involving "go kill all the followers at the Sheogorath shrine" as opposed to a possible Sheogorath quest of "go kill all the followers at the Sheogorath shrine" (would that even surprise you?).

I liked Sheogorath's voice acting...

:flamethrower:

I'll miss Sheogorath if he's gone, loved him.
