Hi gang
Sorry for being incognito a lot, but I've come down with a sudden case of employment and that demands a lot of attention right there. Also, I've taken a slightly different tack in that I've now turned most of my remaining time to my total conversion project. I've left a few loose ends on things like WI, The Underground, GOTY Script Tidy, and other offerings and sadly it might be a while yet before things get completely under control. Having said that...
The Wizards Islands revision is probably one of the most complete packages I have uploaded. It is http://www.mediafire.com/?xg0kydnyyit
Let it be known that this is not just a patch, it is a complete rework. I have made such reworks on the experimental notion that more compact is better, and the form it takes is to bring it in line with everything I'm doing in my TC of which WI is a part. You will find that most of it works o.k., but there are a few breaks (some from the original mod, a couple of my own) that still need a fix. You might be able to find these outstanding issues in the aforementioned thread. More importantly, much behind-the-scenes stuff has been signifigantly altered. Scripts have been renamed and I embarked on the start of a renaming of many support files. The data files are a real jumble and anything BUT compact right now. Hopefully I'll get a chance to bring it all in line some day. I have run this by Pionata and he would also like me to fix some path grids. So...
Use the WI Revision at your own risk. Be sure to install all the support files but be aware there may be several leftover files - don't overwrite any meshes and textures you don't want to! Note that this DOES move the main island north. However, the map, even with MCP, is such that northern regions get cut off while there is a lot of empty space to the south.
I did a great deal of work on the dialogue. Take a look at that and anything else I've contributed and if you want to use it, feel free. You might be able to use an export/import operation to migrate dialogue over to your patch if that's what you want to do. I'd also be grateful for the opportunity to use any fixes you might come up with for any outstanding issues if that would be o.k.
Thank you, and happy patching!
