Easier way to move objects around in GECK?

Are there shortcut keys like something + arrows or something I can use to move stuff around that I've highlighted? I'm close to punching my monitor trying to move some of these recent things around because there is literally like a 1 pixel area to grab and only if you're looking at it from a certain angle, it's infuriating just trying to grab them sometimes much less precision movement.

Double click on the item, or right click and select Edit, and use the x,y,z numerical values you see there. You may have to select the 3D Data tab for some objects. There's an up and down arrow beside each value so you can move them just by increasing/decreasing the value. There's no keyboard shortcut though.

Things that may help with this. If you select an object and press 1 on your keyboard, (Above the letters, not on the keypad) it makes it 'unselectable' and also mostly invisible. Then you can select things behind it easily. Hitting 1 twice instead of once, will make it completely invisible. (Note: it is still there, and will be rendered ingame, just not in the geck.) Then if you hit F5 it will re-render the cell, making all the objects you took away using 1 be completely visible and selectable again. Also, when an object/group of objects is selected, if you hold Z, X, or Y it will lock the object(s) into only one axis of movement. Holding Z locks the object so you can only move it up or down. X locks it so it can only be moved on the Y axis, and Y locks it to only move in the X axis. Releasing the key your holding allows you to again move it freely in all direction.

Where did you get that list pkleiss? I just ask since you may want to fix something. Holding X or Y, then using left mouse appears to LOCK the axis of the key held, not lock the object onto it. So you may want to fix that if you can. Holding X results in the object only being moved on the Y axis, and visa versa. Its odd, but thats how it works. To test just hold X and move an objects back and forth. It moves, say left and right. Then double click on it and click the arrows to increase/decrease the x value, and it will move up and down. (This is from a top view)

That well that certainly is useful to know, I wasn't aware of that. I was always hoping there was a way to lock an object.

Since this turned into a shortcuts thread, anyone have any idea what button toggles the... I don't even know what they are, it's similar to the light radius stuff but for things like radiation markers and what-not. It's a giant blocky green sphere that shows how far away you get rads etc. there are other ones as well but I haven't been able to figure out how I toggled them on/off on accident.

(It's not M).

Another semi-related question, what are the yellow circles you sometimes see in worldspaces that Bethesda have made? Like just outside Megaton, can't seem to target them at all.

F4 which toggles the wire frame will also toggle the radiation limits. While the wire-frame is red, the radiation is green.

Those yellow circles are, if I get you, are the perimeters of the map markers which signify where the player must cross to have discovered the map marker.

Yea that makes sense and was the vague idea I had but I wasn't sure.

And apparently the wire frame mode is iffy cause that definately is what shows them but then they never go away after you toggle them, hence I couldn't figure out what button toggled them

You can press F5 to reload the cell, which removes the wireframes.
