What do you do after you finished the game?

Basically, after you finish exploring, doing the main story line, and all the DLCs, what do you do now?

Collect bounties be they fingers, ears, or blood samples. Find cameras or sensor modules. Get slaves. Go on safari and collect x amount of critter body parts (death claw hands, rad scorpion glands, etc.) Play caravan trader and bring goods to various places. If on a PC, play with mods. If that gets boring, its time to make a new character or take a break from the game.

Collect all the unique weapons, turn in super mutant blood samples, re-visit some of the Metros, Vaults, and/or other random buildings to see if I missed anything (happy to discover that I've overlooked a few corridors), turn in fingers, etc. Or just go to Bailey's Crossroads and wipe out the Super Mutants there. There's a few places I have yet to see in The Pitt, too, so I've added that to my agenda.

I was collecting cameras and sensor modules for Scribe Rothchild for a while, but he disappeared.

I kept playing for ages after the plot was complete. I decided not to read any wiki info or spoilers and I kept finding new locations for ages.

Are you asking what do you do when you have done everything?

You wander the wastes... Or start again with a new charcter and play the completely different. Don't use the same stuff and it can feel like a new game.

I pretty much just make another character, take a break, or add restrictions.

For example, this time there's no fast traveling, can only carry one set of clothing, one 2 handed rifle/weapon, 2 or 3 pistols/sidearms, and if I die, that's it.

Ill just wander the wastes for a couple hours at a time, or I'll follow and protect a caravan or a Brotherhood/Outcast patrol.

I seldom finish Beth's games because I enjoy developing characters too much. :P

However, it is completely true that you will get different experiences with differently created and developed characters. For example, various conversations will change, encounters will vary, etc.

I just keep going and keep exploring. There are lots of extra little missions. Usually though I would sacrifice myself which ends the game. But I heard the DLCs changed that so... There comes a point when there`s obviously nothing left and then I will go on to a completely different game for a long time. I may return to FO3 only when it`s fresh again which would be in about a year or 2.

yep that's what I do once I've seen a lot of the mods, I give it a rest. But I've gotten hooked all over again after waiting 2 whole years without playing any Fallout, then I ran through NV so quick I had to bust out some FO3 (which is a better game imo)

Start a new character!!

Most of my characters only use one type of combat style. So even before I even finish one playthru I am already looking forward to the new combat build.

I also change up the game every time, sometimes I just play on normal, other times hard or very hard. I also add heaps of different hardcoe rules for role play.

You can roleplay as a loose canon Rivet City Security cop who doesn't play by the rules. :toughninja:

Explore...explore...EXPLORE!!! There's always new and fun things to discover in the Wasteland.
Other than that, I wreak havoc on areas and try to take over cities :toughninja:
