Healing without Restoration?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:19 pm

I'm playing a Combat-oriented light infantry kind of class, with majors in melee, light armor and other combat/stealth skills. For healing, I picked Alchemy, but I realize it's a bit of a pain getting ingredients. What are some good recipes for healing potions, preferably with stuff picked from the NE portion of the map?

venison and cairn bolete are your staples - do caves and kill deer,
also stockpile lavender for when you hit journeyman, at which point it becomes a lot easier

I always choose alchemy as a major because it's one of my favorite skills. I love exploring and taking ingredients from plants. I advise you to venture in the north east of Cyrodil or if you have the SI expansion pack, explore the Mania side.

Thanks all, but now I can't find Apprentice alchemy gear. I'm lvl12 and have waited hours and hours for that stuff to appear in stores. I haven't been able to find a mortar and pestle.

It's kinda cheating to me, though. I mean, I know it is not strictly cheating because it is a valid feature in the game, but still...

You will find the best alchemy appuratus in conjurer and necromancer lairs.
Apprentice level gear should start to appear around level six,if I remember right.
Check all the differant alchemy venders, conjurer and necromancer caves.Especially the bosses.

Edit:It's random loot so ther aren't any guarunteed places to find them.
