what if they re-released fallout 1/2 same story, characters... just updated it. mad it look like and play like fallout 3/NV

any thoughts?

Fallout 1/2 is a trademark of Interplay.

Personally I don't think it would work out very well. They would probably have to cut a lot of content

Would never work for many reasons.

Although I would find it amusing to see the Hub portrayed as 3 houses with a pack brahmin standing outside. New technology has its' own limitations.

No.
It wouldn't be the same.
No matter how much they tried to make it like the originals were just with better graphics and voices and talking heads to every character they would still [censored] it up.
And changing it's gameplay to the absolute horror that is FO3 and NV?

no it isn't on the back of my fallout classic collection case(has 1 2 and tactics) it says " fallout, fallout 2 and fallout tactics are registerd trademarks of bethesda softworks"

Although they still retain the rights to sell 1&2 to make money off them. IIRC

Yuck.

Plus they could 'get away' with it. The games would be sterilized versions made for impressionable 18-21 year olds.

No. I'd rather them to re-release them just with updated graphics rather than make them play like 3 and New Vegas (Not saying anything is wrong with the old Fallout's graphics). Why? I don't know. I like the Isometric view of the old ones and seeing them in first/third person would sort of make me feel... uneasy.

No, Fallout and Fallout 2 got away with things that can't be done or Bethesda will not do now. They are classic games and should not be messed with.

Its a fairly common question, when there's a poll its usually fairly close, but always on the "No Thanks" side.

With Fallouts 1 and 2 on Gog.com, I don't think there's any need for it.

No thank you, I don't mind the old graphics and I sure as hell prefer the gameplay style of the older ones over 3 and NV.
