HL2 did it with sprays, but is BRINK customisation going to allow clan tattoos, armbands, badges, etc.? Either as an uploaded bitmap, or as text.

Could it? Rendering text on a texture isn't that hard, so if custom bitmaps are a total no, then what about colour armbands with 1-10 characters text for clan tags?

A text tag would be good enough for me. If people were allowed to upload or create images, we'd just get a bunch of people walking around with genitals or animals humping or something along those lines on their arms.

Clan logos all the way. Yes there would be obnoxious images, but a little admin support could get rid of them. I think the pros of having some awesome clan tag outweight the cons of the odd phalic symbol running around (also, greater incentive to kill them).

Hey! That was one time ok?! And our clan was called "Animals Humping and Genitalia", so it was perfectly justified!

The good thing about not having those is, that they won't disturb the overall artstyle of BRINK.

Writing on some clothing (The Anger hoodie) could be possible, though.

This. All source games allows for sprays. That means everytime you play a game, there is the chance someone will spray something offensive, disturbing, or disgusting on the wall.

Now you're asking for the ability to do that to yourself.

I think some piece of "Clothing Embroid" - Something noticable that kinda pops out a lil...

Maybe some kinda Formal wear everyone can use - Or A spray would just be as nice, Either way...im game.

Maybe they could fit in some special clothing for guilds/clans that support the logo feature. Or include a logo editor a la Halo or cod. There would still be dumb images, although they would be a lot harder to create. Either way, text would be fine as well.

I don't really care about clans so I'm pretty apathetic toward the idea.
