The Dark Brotherhood

The Dark Brotherhood was fine in Oblivion except when you had to kill your guild mates and the whole betrayal crap. I'm hoping for more cooler missions and better guildmates.

Really? I liked that part, they never even saw it coming, the gullible fools. I mean, we are part of a death cult, watching your back is probably a good idea.

In case it hasn't been said already, Dutch Skyrim article confirmed that the DB will be in.

I didn't mind the gothic stuff at all. Maybe underplay it a bit more, but I don't want it totally gone. I liked it.

I always thought that was about the DB members that someone  kills over the course of a part of the DB questline. It was still a let-down though.

Here you guys go I am proud to share this news with all of you. I found this news by translating this Dutch article http://bit.ly/gQuXic
this is what is said among other things:
"The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim picks the cover this month and according to Steven is also earned this. The sequel filled with dragons on Oblivion introduces a low-fantasy setting with unlikely brute moves and the return of the Dark Brotherhood."

Since it has been officially confirmed by Todd Howard that they actually do read these forums, I have a message for the fine folks at Bethesda Softworks.

I swear on the hanging corpse of Lucien Lachance, if The Dark Brotherhood is not in Skyrim, you will all suffer terrible consequences. The specifics of said consequences, however, are unknown at this time.

Never leave out The Dark Brotherhood. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis.

In the Dutch issue covering Skyrim it says that the Dark Brotherhood makes a return

How about we have both?

DB and Morag Tong agents running around, assassin war in the alleys of Skyrim....I love it.

Maybe they could havve rival gangs of DB in the same city. You read in the Newspaper that..."4 more dead DB members discovered hanging upside down"

I want both, the Morag Tong and the Dark Brotherhood. They're already doing a similar thing with the two fragments of the Mages Guild (speculation, but very likely), so why not?

Plus, a gigantic assassin war would be epic.

The Dark Brotherhood better have more hideouts instead of just one. I also hope the devs improve the DB, so they are more assassin-y instead of emo. I mean, the DB were cool in Oblivion, but nobody is that enthusiastic about their religion, are they?

I come at this topic in a different direction. Since I always play a good guy, would love the ability to find and destroy the Dark Brotherhood. For us heroes, that would be a fun scenario. Kinda like the old free the slaves mod in Morrowind.

I hope that you can take down the DB this time. I mean it fun and all, but when I play a good character I would like to work against them.

Holy hell I've just seen the whole GI thing in high res. There's a dark assassin type guy frontal stealth finishing moving killing some sort of jailer character. It looks great. With the announcement of the Dark Brotherhood (and stealth dagger finishing moves i.e throat slitting) in the Power Unlimited it looks like stealth players are in for a treat.

I've got my copy sitting right here, and there's no way that guy isn't a Dark Brother. Sure his armor is different, but that blasted Shrouded Hood still remains. There's no mistaking it.
