Best fallout DLC

Mmm between them all in order best to worst

Point Lookout

Broken Steel

The Pitt

Dead Money

Mothership Zeta

Operation Anchorage

Between the 2 games themselves. I found both really good, but i think i enjoyed Fallout 3 more. The reason behind that is i personally liked fighting in the ruins of D.C and the Metro tunnles and I found exploring the wastes to be more fun overall also.

Things i didnt like about New Vegas was the fact that most of the places to explore had no meaning or point at all.. You found a shack.. with no one in it but a book and some junk.. ok ... I also thought that there were way to many NCR bases in the game. Everywhere you go there is NCR, not much exploring to do TBH... I admit tho some places in NV were really cool to explore and i liked the game but i dunno i felt it could have been a little better, it seems like they crammed to much in too small of an area i guess.

The pit and point lookout. Mothership zeta was the biggest piece of [censored] and I wish I never bought it. It messed up my save and now it takes 10 mins to load my file and it freezes a lot.

This was dealing only with FO3 and NV not the originals which I have played.

NV did much better than FO3 IMO.

Not sure how FO1 and 2 got included in this comparison.

bc from my exp everyone that has played the originals love NV more than FO3 where as those that have not played the originals they prefer FO3.

I got into the originals thanks to FO3.

But I preferred the story and leveling system to the originals.

My favorites are Point Lookout and the Pitt.

I haven't played Dead Money, I hated Operation Anchorage and Broken Steel.

Mothership Zeta was really enjoyable to me, you just aren't supposed to take it seriously because that just makes it stupid. The entire time I felt 'It's us Earthlings vs. Aliens!' and it was a blast. They have big heads and everything because that's just what classic aliens look like.

Would probably say the 1st or 3rd DLC for FO3. I'm one of the few that actually liked the MotherShip Zeta content apparently as it was cool to explore a 50's sci-fi version of an alien space craft.

to wastelanders having no idea where they're from the dubbed them as aliens."
Seriously though, what's up with MZ's aliens having such small heads? The one's in FO1 (and the mentats patient in FO2) had heads the size of x1.5 medicine ball.

Ones in Fallout were nothing but an easter egg and the mentants patient was some freak science experiment and not an Alien.

I don't think Broken Steel was a bad expansion, story-wise and quest wise it was epic. The problem was it came after the ending, when it should have modified the ending, or removed it entirely. Then it would make sense.

I know.

Still, even if they were the alien ship in FO3 started as an easter egg too.
So why do they have smaller heads than the first aliens in Fallout 1's easter egg?
Doesn't matter if they're easter eggs.
One alien has a head almost as big as their body and the next has a more "humanized" head.
Doesn't make sense to me.
(Then again, Ghouls...)

Yeah. Loads of things changed big time, so...
Maybe a different race of aliens? Maybe there are loads of different alien civilizations coming to investigate earth, and there's an intergalactic war out there and we are completely oblivious? Maybe set Fallout entirely in space, BoS and Enclave build spaceships and go out to space to explore and they bump into each other and fight (muties can come to)? :o
Maybe this is a really bad idea? Probably.

1. Dead Money - The story and writing are all top notch. The exploration was well done, and the Sierra Madre was done perfectly. The moral of the story was a great part as well.

2. Point Lookout - Fairly grey story, as well being open ended. If the travel time from the CW was less than a week, this would be my number 1 DLC.

3. The Pitt - The city itself did not feel 200 years after the war, but it felt fine. The writing was grey, which was a relief from Fallout 3's horrid black and white junk. It felt much too dark for 200 years after the war however.

4. Operation Anchorage - Fallout 3 and NV were not designed to be FPS, and that really shows in this DLC. While showing what things were like back then, the shooting mechanics hold this back. The goodies at the end solidified its place on my list.

5. Mothership Zeta - Awful, absolutely awful. Garbage. I tried to play it, but I couldn't. Too much shooter and not much story at all. Complete garbage. Its a shame they did this DLC right after Point Lookout.

6. Broken Steel, AKA, The burned DLC - I will sum this up in one word, [censored]. It turned FO3 from a RPG with FPS mechanics to a FPS with RPG mechanics. The story was just "Kill the Enclave demons!" It was not grey at all, and offered no choice.

I liked Point Lookout, The Pitt, and Op: Anch (Killing commies, even though it was basically just an FPS DLC)

I haven't played Dead Money.

I absolutely hate Borkd Shteel and Muthaship Zeta.

Dead Money had me the most impressed. It had just about everything I wanted, a good story, characters, decent new weapons and even scratched the explorer itch I felt there was enough squirreled away to be worth of exploring the villa and it's surrounding areas. Plus the hooks into future events was a nice touch and I appreciated the opening and ending slides.

Favorite part has to be the characters though, interacting with them was a joy. The only bad part is that I can't take'em with me. Dean and I would of taken the Mojave by storm.

Point Lookout and the Pitt were my Fallout 3 favorites. Mothership Zeta and Operation Anchorage were too combat heavy for me. I enjoyed the additional ten levels in Broken Steel but it was like Mothership Zeta and Operation Anchorage int he fact it was just "kill more dudes" which just got tiring after awhile.

I love me some violence, but the constant murderdeathkill of MZ,OA and BS just wore thin on me. Talking to Ashur and making a decision on the future of the Pitt, as well as the exploration of Point Lookout made them winners.

Broken Steel for me because it made it open-ended like Oblivion/morrowind and it involved a hell of a lot more Brotherhood of Steel and Enclave. I also liked Operation Anchorage for its setting
