When I look out of my window, I can see a fir which looks almost exactly as yours. This should be approval enough.

I have an ot question: Do you remeber which textures you used for Solstheim?
I really like your stone texture, like in here:http://piclair.com/data/lk401.jpg.
I think "Bloodmoon Landscape Overhaul" is different from these.

I was just expecting for you to change one of the pine trees to a blue color, another things I have noticed about Blue Spruce is they vary alot in shape. The 2 trees I mention in the above post for example had there branches go slightly down instead of up. I did not expect you to work out a whole new model just because of a couple requests, thanks. If you could make an optional esp that would be great. Just a few here and there would be nice, nothing major just nice to see them from time to time. And that blue you used is great.

Thanks for making the tree.

i'm glad you like it :)

kirlian voyager: i use the Morrowind Overhaul mod (by kingpix) as a texture replacer, so whatever textures you see in my shot is from that mod.

Kefka: The spruces i've seen when googling looks like http://www.blueviewnurseries.com/sitebuilder/images/FatAlbert_Blue_Spruce-301x466.jpg.

a bit different than the usual ones that i make - much thicker.. but retexturing is even easier and you'll get a better looking model.

I googled Blue Spurce myself. And they do more often than not have there branches go up, but many also have there branches go out and a few have them go slightly down. Also the colors range from more of a green to one that was silver! And some are more dense(like yours) and some less like the pic you showed.

So are you saying you are just going to retexture one of your exsiting models? That would be great since the model is better looking. Just stick to the nice blue you used and it should look great.

Edit: on 2nd look at that pic, its very similar to the kind of Blue spruce that I was talking about just with the branches turned up a bit more, very similar color and density. Now that I think about it higher up the tree went more the branches started to go up a bit. I assume its because of the weight that about 1/3 of the way down from the top they start to go more straight out and then start leaning down.

Really loved your first solstheim mod. I couldn't stand going to the island before because it looked so hideous! LOL
Looking forward to the release!!

Which cedar are you thinking of, there are several types, give an image example. I could maybe make one for version 1 since that mod has a mixed forest.

I was thinking of cedars like these:
http://www.deck-building-fence-contractors.com/images/northern-white-cedar.jpg, http://www.follybeach.com/Eastern-Red-Cedar-Tree.jpg, http://www.cedar-works.com/newsite/images/12-05cedar_trees.jpg.

If it wouldn't be too much trouble, cedar hedges would also be an amazing resource to have around. :)

they would pretty much look like this blue spruce: http://piclair.com/data/lk401.jpg (except another texture ofcourse). I don't know of any other way to model those, might be possible with some other technique, like billboards.

I was thinking the same thing, also the model(to the left) right next to the biggest Blue spruce, the light colored green one, looks like it would be a very good blue spruce, just changing the color would work fine. Reminds me alot of the pic of the b. spruce you linked.

Well, if you'd actually seen these trees in RL, you'd easily see how modeling them would be possible, it would be simalar to your layered pines, they would just be a lot more densely layered, and with cedar leaf textures of course. ;)
