Wouldn't work. The truth is that you have to appeal to the most people when developing a game. An unfamiliar setting is always a hard sell. Most of the world know the US and are interested in it. Not to mention that most gamers live in the US.

Fallout is more than just post-apocalyptia. That's why the first Fallout game isn't just called "Mad Max, the Video Game". It seems that, since everything is so heavily grounded in American culture, and dedicated to mocking American culture, that setting the games anywhere else either wouldn't be treated properly, or wouldn't happen at all.

So you could have a Fallout game where some US peeps built a boat and decided to repopulate other countries. Hunting for resources. Or to start up their own brand new factions. :laugh:

Look at this....... I bet lady crimson isn t even a pro fiction writer.

There are many was to put a fo in another country.

yu ping, very well written and said. i completely agree.

i love england and the english culture, but fallout is told strictly from an american point of view. all the jokes, humor, design elements, all of it are american. changing these core elements, in essence, is changing the game into a new one. you can't simply overlay the american fallout universe over a london backdrop. (how did nfl europe fare?).

to me the most logical step is fallout chicago. ed-e logs say there is an enclave outpost in chicago, perhaps the last remains of the enclave. we know there is a midwest chapter of the bos. and there are other hints at the midwest, though i can't remember them all. if i had to bet on a location, chicago is it.

I doubt it'll ever be done. I have thought about this however, I thought of something like the british buying some blue prints for some vaults off the amricans and making a "Royal vault" Specially for the Royal family, obviously. But the Enclave used it as one of their experiments and theres some conspiracy behind it all, I never really bothered to think it all through. But I think the british 50's was slightly different than the american 50's. So theres chance it'd seem off.

If you really wanted one you could learn how to mod. If my memory serves me correctly I think I remember a group of french modders who made a mod for fallout 2 set in France.
