[RELz] Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds & Graphics

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 9:23 am

Yes I'm planning to do a compatible version of rebirth for the overhaul.

Awesome! Thanks so much for all your hard work on this (it hurt my head putting a few graphics mods together last time I installed Morrowind, so I can't imagine how much bloody work is involved in creating a program to make it simple for everyone else to do!).

I was fumbling around with the Overhaul 1.1 the other day and noticed that Socucius Ergalla's scribe - I forget his name, the guy at the table - is duplicated. I tried messing with things I have no knowledge about and was unable to find a cause. Granted, the "disable" trick worked, but I wondered if it was present in the Overhaul itself. Is this the case?

Quick bug note. When starting a new game, during the intro vid, I'm getting a scratching that sounds like it might be insects or something. It stops as soon as the video ends.

A suggestion/request for the MGSO Options program: as you've added more options from 1.0 to 1.1, the actual program window has needed to become larger to contain them all. The 1.1 version is actually too big to display on my 720p TV, I can't click the bottom buttons unless I rotate the display 90 degrees. I'm probably the only person running at such a low resolution, but I have to think there are a lot of users out there with 1366x768 laptop screens, so if the MGSOO program window keeps getting larger, it's going to become more of a problem. Can I suggest that you make the actual MGSOO program window a little smaller, and have some sort of scrolling list of options--like what the Morrowind Code Patch does. That way there will be plenty of room to grow as you add more patches with even more options.

Otherwise everything is great, thanks again for the excellent work compiling the mods, creating the installation and MGSOO programs, and writing such clear documentation.

Would you mind adding my mesh replacer please, http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=9082
It updates the 2 keystand models and gives them a nice looking texture, you can include the texture if you wish, but it isnt nessisary, the main reason here is that I see you have Mesh Improvements included. Well use my kegstand instead and you will save people over 7000 polys while making the kegstand look better.

Anyway the Patch 1.2 is on the works, here's a little preview:

- Fix templar pauldron left gloves
- Meshes detailed armor with reflect maps
- Fix for read only polish.lng file from MGE Rev 178
- Thunder Sound http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1173791-thunderstruck-sound-replacer/
- crossair -> crosshair in MGSOO (typo)
- Update unique finery http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7673
- Shaders path fix in mge rev. 178
- MGE Rev.178 fix for water missing files.
- Xiran's Better Music System (maybe)
- Update on the rocks grazelands http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8763
- Guarskin Drum smoothed mesh http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=9050
- Better Kegstands http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=9082
- On the rocks west gash: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8763
- On the rocks ascadian isles: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8763
- MGSO Options program tweaked: modularity (you can choose what to install and what not, for personal mods using), tweaked the way that the program acts on Morrowind.ini file to avoid installation errors.
- Mournhold Overhaul removed. Not needed.
- Illuminated Windows replaced by Windows Glow.
- Korana's Fire And Ice Salts
- Qarl's Limeware Items
- No foam MGE option
- Updated Shaders

As you can see I already planned it for the 1.2 patch. =)
I was going to ask you soon :D
