Another update, V1.2! :)

The mod is now compatible with most other child-altering mods.

There is still a problem with some special kids with unique voices, like Mayor MacCready from Little Lamp Light. If you try to give gifts to them they won't speak the lines. I'll fix this soon.

Any other kids I should know about?

Thanks for making this mod!

I have it installed in my new game (now that I'm actually playing again), but have just barely left Vault 101, so I haven't had a chance to play test this yet. I have a spot reserved for this one on my mod list, I just need to actually be able to play test it in my own game first.

Dunno how I missed this one. DLing now.

And a word on James Hargrave....is the gift you give him a swift roundhouse kick to the head? I hate that kid.

That's nice to hear. I'm using a lot of mods from your mod list and they're great. :)

I should have a look at that Oblivion journal as well, I've been modding the game so much that I've lost track of most of the new things that have been made in the last years. :P

Nope. Only Bryan Wilks has a special gift option related to his quest, and that's not a swift roundhouse kick to the head. :P

Of course if you want to disappoint James you can always say you have something for him and then say 'nevermind'. :swear:

And once again a Kragenir's Death Quest update has priority over this one. :P

Oh man. I'm like the only person who doesn't mind Bryan Wilks. But Tammy and James are the two NPCs I hate the most.

So what happens when you give them a book to read that improves their skills?

What happens when you give them liquor of a box of cigs and a shot gun?

I'd laugh myself silly if we see the lil buggers runnin around outside megaton shooting at stuff while being totally drunk with a cig on their lip =)

You can't do that, you can only give them a specific selection of items, mostly toys. The only weapons that you are able to give to them are baseball bats and BB Guns, but unless you're using a mod that allows children to fight they won't use them.

You can also give them nuka cola. I'll be sure to add the ice cold nuka cola variation to the list too for the update.

Happens to all of us sometimes. :P

I'm pretty much ready to post the update. Does anyone have any other issues with the mod? Also, does anyone know if there are other kids with unique voices like Betty and Mayor MacCready, for who the gift giving line doesn't work? I haven't run into any but I'd like to have them all fixed if possible for this final update.

Version 1.21 has been released!

Download:
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9418

Changelog:

1.21 28/05/2010:

-Because of some problems the option to give gifts to Mayor MacCready of Little Lamplight has been removed.

-When giving Nuka Cola as a gift it is now also possible to give ice cold nuka cola.
If you have both normal and ice cold cola in your inventory, you'll give the normal.
If you only have ice cold cola, you'll give ice cold cola.

I figured I'd get this out now finally, it wasn't really much work as you can see.

I also changed the link name in the OP from TesNexus to FO3Nexus. Force of habit. :P

Hey, just wondering if you could make a patch to support the toys added in DC Interiors Project http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5573

It would take some work (mostly the messing around with the voice files) but it's very doable. And I love the DCInteriors Project, so I think I will make a patch soon. I currently have no idea of how many toys it adds so I'm not sure how much work it's going to be.

Fwiw, I always give Jericho cigs, whiskey and a teddy bear in every game. ;)

Just because...
