Little Fallout 2 problem

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 8:54 am

I have had Fallout 2 for the longest time, but just recently I picked it up again, and played a lot.

But one thing that has been particularly bothering me is that, my highwayman has seemingly just disappeared. I actually loaded up an old save, and my highwayman was not in my current location or MANY others.

I actually made another save just to search the wasteland and not lose any game time or anything. And no, I already did the whole T-ray thing if your going to say that. Anybody have an answer? :brokencomputer:

Do you have the restoration project installed? Once after freeing Sulik's sister, you automatically get teleported back to her village and I had to walk all the way back to the slaver camp to pick up the car.

Bugs are a part of the fallout experience I'm afraid. It could have just disipeared.

Something similar did happen to me once - the car boot and car became detached and I lost the car, but the boot would load up in a strange place on every single map (which kinda worked out as an ad've advantage, go downstairs, your boots there too).

My suggestion would be if you havent already, download and install Killap's unofficial patch (not the restoration mod... at least not yet, once you've beaten the game at least once sure) as it squashes things like this.

Nope. No restoration project.

Yep. Just disappeared into thin air. Oh well. Not like I lost anything important, you know GECKs are easy to come by these days

No map marker? Have you visited all the towns to see if it's parked in any of them?

So the car disapeared entirely? I've had the glitch where the trunk disapeared but I think that was fixed with a patch a very long time ago.

Was the last place you parked in New Reno there is a quest where the car does get stolen...

hmmm I never had that happen before in all my time playing. Are you sure you visited ALL the parking spots in the multi location towns? Like New Reno, Den and even the Raider base south of Vault city?

The car is always parked near the brown spots, parts where you exit town to travel the wastelands. Exit out of town and check each triangle.

Well the den has 2 spots dependong on what triiangle you clicked. West part of the den the car well be parked up north near the chain length fence, and on the east part it'll be south of slavers den near I think her name is mom resturant. Have you checked into the stolen car quest?

Ha, Yes. That quest always keeps me from New Reno with my car if I'm not in the mood.

It was in the secondary spot in the Den. Kinda weird, never knew it existed.
