[REQ] BB Dagoth Ur Replacer

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:45 am

@Oriphier- I work fast due to my preplanning, I suppose; I get the idea in my
head and sketch it out as a blueprint of sorts (as one does). Then, it is just a
matter of putting it all together (no real insight there :D ). However, as far as
my own method/personality overlap, I suppose one could say that I am like a
dog with a bone; once I have something in mind, I do not let go of it til all of
my ideas have gone from conception to actualization/realization. It mostly
only appears as if I am working fast, when, in reality, I just have a solid plan
in place from which to work :) .

eheheh no doubts about it, but i'm always amazed! anyway i cant see any problem for the hairs and the mask, ok he is a mad god but probaby he doesnt want to look like a mummy or something.

I'd say making another WIPz thread would be nice, so that folks who didn't catch this can marvel at it and drool... like I am. :P

I hope this isn't too silly a question.

Westly, I'm aware that Dagoth Ur is technically a creature and so he would not work exactly like an NPC. After seeing this version I am strongly inclined to use this instead of the version of Voryn that I made. If I were to make this creature into my character's companion, would it be at all possible to access his clothing? Mainly, remove his mask whenever I would like? Or is that not possible when the companion is a creature?

I'm pretty sure that's not possible, or at least not easy, since creatures don't normally have interchangable parts. However, since the texture fits on a Better Bodies mesh without any issues (right?) it probably would be a piece of cake to make an NPC version, in which case the mask would be much easier to take on and off.

All of the gear will be "wearable" by a player character (optional add-on, of course); also, I will
release a race to compliment the creature (mentioned prior), so it would be doubly easy to re-create
your companion as all the components would be ready and waiting :) .

I'm sure you're already aware of this (and I do realize that that was a WIP screenshot), but the mask seems way more detailed than the rest of the gold armor. I don't know if you've put the final touches on yet, but I just thought I would mention it :)

Also, could you possibly make the House Dagoth emblem on his belt red so it stands out more?

Westly, your Dagoth Ur isn't really how I imagine or what the Dagoth ur in my game to look, so I won't be D/L'ing it when it's done, but it does look fantastic, the only real things bugging me is I think his skin should be more blue/dark, he should look buff instead of skinny, and his beard doesn't really look like a beard.

Other than that, keep up the good work, lately your style of stuff seems to clash with everything else in my game, but it's quite obvious people still enjoy your work, so keep it up! :)

Closed for post count. If you feel your work is sufficiently underway, feel free to start a WIP thread.
