past in place

What does Past in Place do? I found it in Edit.

Think you mean Paste in Place. You can copy an item or groups of items then paste them somewhere else.

Seems to work the same as duplicate in that it pastes the object at the same place as the original.

hmm...then it is a buttion that is not needed? It seems to me that if you needed to duplicate multiple items then you could select them all and then press ctrl+D.
