Stop Falling!

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 3:34 pm

I am useing RFHallWTorchHolder01 to hold a torch that i am using to light up my fort but when i go ingame to see what it looks like. all the torches have fallen to the floor in stead of staying where i put them.

I understand that i cant expect the torches to atchully rest in the RFHallWTorchHolder01 but I had hoped that they would float where i put them.

I set a torce in mid air to see if it would float there in the game and it did, so i am not shure what is worng hear.

--Thanks!

I have this saved, not sure who said it but:
Making a motionless mesh:

1. Load NIF into Nifskope.

2. Open:
NiNode
bhkCollisionObject

3. In the "block Details" of bhkCollisionObject:
Motion system ->change to MO_SYS_KEYFRAMED
Quality Type -->change to MO_QUAL_FIXED

Object will now be motionless in the game.

Just make a new torch object and assign this new motionless mesh to the torch carriable model.

You don't have to use an apple. Also, click on the tiny (+) sign to expand the NiNode (Highlighted in green), then the bhkCollisionObject (also in green). Click on the bhkRigidBody, scroll down, then change those 2 settings.

Hope that clears it up.

There should be. No reason why it shouldn't be there! It's the 4th from the bottom, between MO_SYS_BOX_STABILIZED and MO_SYS_FIXED. Try to scroll down on the drop down menu if you can't see 10 options.
