Bring Morrowind back to it's vanilla state.

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 8:00 am

I remember years ago reading about a program that removed all mods from Morrowind, I never really cared about it, but I can't find my Bloodmoon disk so I just can't reinstall it. Does anyone have a link for it?

And does it give MW back the original .exe, because I think mine is modded.

Well, you could disable all the esp files and remove any textures apart from _land_default. I'm not sure if Morrowind copies any meshes to the hard drive; they should all be included in the bsa archives, though.

And no, it wouldn't give you your original exe back. Most patch programmes create a back-up file, though. Are there no files in your Morrowind folder called Morrowind.exe.old or something else along those lines?

I'm just rather worried about going on a massive delete rampage. I'm pretty sure there was a program that did it, it might've been a very long time ago though.

Maybe http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Utilities.Detail&id=54. It will only revert your data files directory. Not exes.

(Just to be on the safe side (if you were wanting to be paranoid), you should probably run the program on a copy of the Morrowind directory. That way if anything goes wrong, you don't trash your Morrowind install).

Why don't you just order the GOTY version off of ebay or amazon.com? I've purchased TESIII about 4 different times already.

Cause that's kinda a waste.
