Frostfire Glade

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 11:00 am

So I'm doing the Frostfire Glade quest for S'Drassa, and I have gone through the cave into the glade.

I defeated a Frost Atronach and found the frozen structure of Giderion (I think thats the name) fighting another atronach.

The frost everywhere is killing my mage and he doesn't have a frost shield spell (I need to get more spells asap :( )

So how do i get the tears? I've tried fire-blasting the structure, attacking it with a sword and even waiting for the sun to come up.

Nothing works. I don't want to cheat using the conosole, so how do I complete the quest?

The tears aren't in the statue, they're small little blue things surrounding the rock the statue is on- about 5 of 'em. Look on the Wiki for their actual locations.

Also, visit S'Drassa before leaving for Frostfire for the final time- he'll give you something that will help with the cold.

They're tricky to see, being a shade of bluish not unlike all the frozen ground. I've used both light spells and Nighteye spells to decent effect to help me spot them. Look on the ground around the frozen Garridan.

As for the frost damage, a chat with S'drassa can help- after reading Knightfall he'll offer some assistance once he knows what you'll be up against.

As for the fire-blasting, you can't melt/damage the structure- although it's possible for spells with blast effects (fireballs with radius damage) to throw any tears caught in the blast around and make them harder to find. No real point, they're not frozen inside it. :)

The frost damage also only affects a certain area, so you can step out of the area if you need to heal.

Night Eye is handy for spotting the tears in the snow. However, since you've blasted the statue, the tears may be scattered, so you'll have to look extra carefully.
