Why must consoles svck

***Sorry about the topic name***

first off Brink looks awesome
second ima Po' boy and cant afford a new computer so ill be playing on PS3

the thing i miss the most about FPS on PC was the dedicated servers my old friends CS, DoD, BF2 and Tribes had. The best thing about playing online (especially after the newness of the game wears off) was being able to play with people u like playing with.

I thought this was dead once i got a PS3, then i played Warhawk a little bit ago and WTF???????
I know they don't exactly use dedicated servers, but still why cant more games use that setup? rather than having a random host and have to deal with the ever-so controller breaking frustration of constant migrations because the host left like a [censored], At least you'll know what you're getting into when u choose which server to play on.

then clans will actually MEAN something in console games rather than just a quick way to reconize ppl in your friends list.

and with PSN and XBOX Live it seems like having some kind of paid dedicated server deal wouldn't be too hard to swing.

P.S. I'm totally gonna kill all of you (in the game ) ;)

Well, I think we can have dedicated servers with less lag. I don't think every peer to peer game has a horrible lag compensation system and poorly maintained servers like BO.

The topic name is unnecessary, but I know what you mean I wouldn't mind more dedicated server games, like L4D.

EDIT: Actually, I read the topic name as "Why MOST consoles svck", instead of the actual name. That was my bad.

Wait, your a sandwich? Seriously though, I get where your coming from. I love dedicated servers where you can choose what gametype to play, see how much lag you'll have, and so on. I just don't have a computer good enough to play games anymore. Also, I'm on 360, you can't touch me.

Chances are I won't brave online all that frequently. I'm yet to play a P2P game that lags less, or even the same, as a game w/ dedicated servers.

Yeah, console bashing is bad even if you're planning to play it on a console yourself.
