graphics card question

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 1:15 pm

hi everyone,

so i am in the process of upgrading my system particularly for brink and i would just like to get everyones opinion on what graphics card i should get.

so here is the system i am planning to get:
Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz LGA1155 8MB
Asus P8P67 PRO REV 3.0 LGA1155 Intel P67 DDR3
8 gig of ram
850 watt psu
60gb ssd to go with my 500gb hdd

and now what i need help with is my decision between 460gtx sli and the 570gtx.

both set ups cost roughly the same however the 460's in sli get slightly higher performance. the downside is i cannot upgrade them any further in the future, i would have to buy a whole new graphics card or set of graphics cards. with the 570gtx i can stick another one for a much cheaper price down the line.
i may also have to upgrade the psu if i was to get 570gtx in sli which would add some more to the budget.

just looking for your opinions, any help is much appreciated.

edit: anyone even know whether brink fully supports sli???

If you are gonna buy a SSD then I would suggest reading this.

- Saving money on buying a small drive is no saving at all. The 32 and 64 GB drives are a whole lot cheaper than the 128GB+ drives, but you’ll be locked in constant battle for free space and will simply have no room whatsoever to install games.

I think were going to start getting too many of these threads now....

Tbh to save further hasstle on this matter of everyone posting there specs and asking "Will this work?"

http://www.yougamers...meometer/10455/ - Take the test - Upto you whether to believe it or not.

At the end of the day - You have to install, and try to see if it runs.

There are currently several threads about PC graphics going right now, you're welcome to bring this up in the PC spec thread.
