i recently switched over to pc gaming, i like it, i like having mods, so here is my question, fallout 3 or new vegas, i personally liked new vegas, i liked the feel ,like 200 (or howevermany ) years after the bombs fell i think its time people move on and try to move on with there life and make progress, not just survive, which is the feeling in new vegas, fallout 3 was kind of like , "well, everything is destoryed, ANACRY , what the ______ IS THAT,"... i dont know which to get, if i get fallout new vegas i got to get the expansion which is another 10 bucks on top of the game (30 bucks) and for t30 bucks i can get fallout 3 game of the year, but honestly fallout 3's expansion packs had more quest then the main game itself, i dunno , what do YOU think , also which had better mods, i like mods that ADD stuff but dont signifcantly change gameplay (example in oblivion ill use mods for more quest , more stuff, add spells, but not mods the rework a skill, rework leveling system (scratch that im using a mod so i get the +5 in each attribute every level up)

Fo3, since it's been out longer and thus, has more mods for it than New Vegas.

At least, to start you off. You'll want to get both eventually, however.

Granted, that's my personal opinion, since New Vegas couldn't draw me in like Fallout 3.

im the oposite, i liked new vegas better, also i found fo3 extreamly easy, i started a game with the dificutly all the way up, game was brutal, till about level 5, suddenly i was boss with a handgun, by the higher levels all i needed was one gun on me at all times and i was good

i would get new vegas personally i felt the same way about the games, i mean i have both fallout 3 goty, and new vegas with on dlc and i find i barely play 3, you gotta go with what youd enjoy, new vegas has many great mods and alot of the fallout 3 mods are being updated for it, you also got to figure the price of the game plus ten dollars for each dlc or wait till you can buy a bundle, fallout 3 you can get with all the dlcs and it is a fine game for cheaper right now, after that really its up to personal preference either way you'll have a great game and great mods.

Get fallout 3, with FWE and MMM mods and added some cool weapon mods and Ironsight, your gonna get a really hard kick ass game...

And the size and open ended map will give you endless repayability

Someone pointed out on another thread that it would be better get F3 now and wait for F:NV to be available with all the DLCs included in the price, otherwise it's going to cost twice as much.
