Double Fine's Sesame Street

If you couldn't glean the information from what I have said so far, Double Fine (makers of such fine games as Psychonauts and Brutal Legend), is going to dev an interactive Sesame Street game for the Kinect.

In my opinion, this could not be better in any way. If it succeeds (bet it will), then Double Fine gets some much needed revenue, and the Kinect will suddenly get a new use: educational games. Hell, this could open up a whole new group of people to games, and could have a long lasting impression on the people who decide to stay with the system.

Props to Double Fine for having the guts to make a game like this, though.

Any thoughts on the matter?

Never was a fan of motion systems and see them more as a gimmick like 3D TV. But meh, good for them.

Of course, if this goes well, which it probably will, then Double Fine will make some nice cash, maybe enough for a Psychonauts 2, if you know what I mean?

I agree. Whatever puts cash in their pockets and their creative genius on store shelves.

Tim already stated that they only need enough money or a publisher willing to publish it. Otherwise they are ready. And their smaller scale games seem to be much, much better in terms of getting the development costs back. Can't say I mind, since Costume Quest and Stacked were really, really grand.

Looks pretty sweet, were those screenshots in the link? Or just art? Because of those are screenshots, the game's got a killer art style. :D
