Fallout 1 vs. Fallout 2

Fallout. A couple of things felt really disjointed and out of place in Fallout 2, but it still is an excellent game. They're very close, too, but I've got to go with the original

Fallout 1, Fallout 2 has too much goofy [censored] and 4th wall breaking humor for me to enjoy it as much as Fallout 1.

Well I have a question then. Who'd win in a fight The Master and his army or Richardson with Horrigan and their forces?

Fallout. Fallout 2, with its chess-playing scorpions and porm studios and Tribals who somehow have a knowledge of Elton John songs, made me faintly embarassed to play it. Playing them back-to-back, I found going from the first game to the second was like going from Mad Max to Spaceballs. 'Twas very jarring.

Well, Enclave of course. Power armor, advanced energy weapons...

I agree with dikeybird.... a lot of stuff seemed really out of place in Fallout 2...

I like the humor of both Fallout 1 and 2. I agree that Fallout 2 can have some silly and 4th wall breaking humor, but then again I do really like A Boy and His Dog - a movie about a boy trekking the wasteland in search of a girl to have six with, along with his telepathic dog. If that ain't sillyness in a serious setting, I dunno what :) I just get depressed by watching The Road. I love that movie though!

Fallout 2, it just Fallout 1 was too serious for me (but never mind the slavers, drug dealers, politics, gang wars and THE ENCLAVE, thats not too goofy either)

I loved them both, but Fallout 2 because there's so much more to do.

Same here, Fallout 1 Was awesome, Fallout 2 only beats it out by the tiniest of margins because of the improvements and longer game.

You've all raised some really good points. It seems both games are loved just as much as the other. I'm really growing on Fallout 2 as of late. :fallout:
