they are both great weapons, and my two favorite. trueflame's max hit is higher than hopesfire's, but hopesfire's minimum hit is higher than trueflame's. they both do elemental damages of 30, but trueflame has fire damage and hopesfire has shock damage. Apperantly, on the day that Almalexia and Nerevar were wed (yes, they were married.), the dwarf-king Dumac presented them both with twin blades: trueflame, and hopesfire. trueflame can hit a maximum of 105, and hopesfire can hit a maximum of 100. they are the only weapons in the series that had elemental auras (i.e. the flame on trueflame and the...er...shock-thingy on hopesfire).
2-Staff of Magnus
One of the Elder Artifacts in Tamriel, It is in all of the Elder Scrolls games except Oblivion (that i know of, anyway) and is a very good staff for wizards. Magnus trusted the Staff to the blades just before he died. the map was somewhere in elsweyr, and the eternal champion found it in valenwood. later, it was in possession of the daggerfall hero after he/she did a quest for the iliac bay knights guild. and finally, in morrowind, in which ajira, a member of the mages guild, told the nerevarine the whereabouts of the staff.
3-Daedric Scourge/Crescent Blade
Lots of mysteries behind these artifacts. After the Battlespire incident, it was reported that all the Daedric Battlespire weapons were destroyed, but 2 survived. The daedric scourge and daedric crescent blade. how did they survive? how did divayth fyr get his hands on these? are there more survivors? Is Divayth Fyr the Hero of the Battlespire?
4-Amulet of Kings
This is an interesting artifact, and THE oldest in tamriel. its just very interesting how the emperors soul's are actually connected with the gods (i.e. lorkhan) that created Mundus. and that the elder council can know instantly when the emperor dies.
5-Fang of Haynekhtnamet
I like this artifact because in my opinion, there isn't much history out there about the Black Marsh and the Argonians. The history about how mighty the "wamasus" were is an interisting bit to me. (apperantly, it took 7 days and nights and a score of men to kill Haynekhtnamet, according to http://www.imperial-library.info/artifacts/index2.shtml) one of the men took a fang, and fashioned a dagger out of it. Plus, it is one of the most powerful daggers in tamriel, as you can score damages of 70 with it. chrysamere's base damage is 70.
