Noobs questions

Is there something like a network connection? I am new, but have gotten a decent battlemage and I want to play online with my brother, so I can help him/teach him, and lead him around till he learns which places are caves that have no quest in them, and caves that are part of a quest. Please respond!!! If not, why can't there be a network connection or something simalar like an online lobby so us and our 2 friends Shawn and Gauge can play together. I think it would be awsome, if there is one of those, reply and tell me how to acess one of them, if not I need your oppinions on weather there should be an online lobby, or system link!!! :deal: :deal:

No. Oblivion is a one person only game. I prefer it that way.

One thing I noticed about this game is that you have to WANT to learn how to play this game. The first time I tried to play this, it was my very first RPG and I definitely wasn't ready for a game like this. After having played Fable, Final Fantasy, Baldur's Gate, and other similar games, I was more prepared for a game like this. I wanted to learn so I asked questions about certain things. If you have to help your brother get started, that's fine, but unless he really wants to learn this game, you might have to "hold his hand" along the way. I know when I first started I needed someone there with me all along the way, but that's because it was overwhelming compared to the usual game I had played.

No, because then I lose out on too much playtime, he takes soooo long to learn, so that would be a huge waste of my time!!! :banghead:

Don't want to be a hippcrate but depending on your brother's level of patience may I suggest reading articles on usep @ www.usep.net/wiki/Oblivion. Especially the Oblivion for first time players articles.

He only get like 1 hour of video games per week because of his bad grades, so he won't take the time to let me stand by him and baby him through the whole game, and I just want to try the game with him and my character together, an archer+a battle mage=total ownage man!!!

Just tell him what to be on the lookout for and what to strive for depending on the type of character he chooses. Then let him play and answer the occasional question he comes along with. If you don't wanna take the time for a specific question, direct him to a website that can give him his answers. Before I found this website, I founds www.gamefaqs.com very useful for certain questions I had. Of course, this site owns all! B)

This has already been answered. You can't.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Main_Page is much better.

I can relate to that. To be honest Oblivion isn't the kind of game you can effectively play without prior knowledge with only 1 hour a week of play time. As previously stated Oblivion isn't a multiplayer game.

It is impossible to play two characters on one game, as it has been stated already. Of course you can play together, you just can't do it at the same time.
